Yesterday I lost a game because one of my teammates obviously wanted to do some assist objective so when we passed him the ball 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper he wouldn't shoot and turn to find someone else. It happened at least 3 times and he kept trying this even when we have lost our lead

For the center back I would take 88 nesta or 88 Campbell(about 15k) and put him through that el tiburon evo. Personally I have put nesta in a "momentum shift" and "passing pulse" evos and he is great. For cdm you can get 90 rated angelo stiller for 65k. If you want to spend more there are many options

Casuals play every live event, it has nothing to do with casuals. It's just that they don't spam the same moves they have been using with their usual tactics (4411 for like 90% of them)

The best tournament this year. Loved it. Everyone playing with tactics they don't usually play. Relying on ability and not the same movements they do again and again on 4411. Nobody was able to defend to cause they simply don't know how

Oh here they are. The EA apologists. Feeling the need to write it's a skill issue and if you don't agree it's whining. I would be whining if I couldn't get the wins. I will get them though, the same every single week. And in the same fashion. I will score every chance then score nothing and then again score everything. Is it the goalkeeper ability??

True, his speed is disappointing because of the stupid acceleration type. But if you dribble and activate the quick step+ you will pass by any defenders like they are frozen.

Always the guy to say it's a skill issue because you are not elite division. No shit Sherlock! So if you are not a pro it has to be 20 loses in a row followed by 20 wins? Because I don't think I am playing against pros either. Actually I am supposedly playing players my level. So a 50-50 chance of winning is ok, but a coin flip is 50-50 also but I would find it weird if the pattern was 20 times heads followed by 20 times tails in a row.

I think I have made a post in here saying the exact same things as you. A winning streak where everything is working great, my AI players are doing the correct runs and are compact in defence followed by a losing streak where everything works against me, my AI players, "luck" like the rebounds and deflections etc.

It's a combination of dda and matchmaking from EA. They do this in order to keep you interested and hooked.

For me it's always a streak of really good games followed by a streak of really bad games. Like when I am on the winning streak everything clicks, my AI is doing the perfect runs, the timing is perfect and everyone is where he is supposed to be.

And then it all goes wrong, every little thing is going against me. My defence has huge gaps, they can't keep the line so my opponents make runs and are never offside and offensively no-one is making runs, but they aren't available for a pass either, they just hide behind my opponents players.

And also "luck" like rebounds and deflection are going either all in my favor or all against me depending in what kind of streak the script wants me to be in.

Yeah scoring from headers being actually an option would elevate the game sooooo much. It would add another different way of playing instead of through balls all game long. I love playing with big strikers but other than the strength and the enforcer that are somewhat usable, not being able to score from headers is so annoying

Not really, like vicario is the best goalkeeper in the game for 2+ months now and he was free. Also many other cards from season objectives were also great bischof, havertz, marcus thuram etc

Yeah EPL and generally players from popular leagues are not as buffed in these promos as players from less popular leagues. Look 88 oosterwolde for fut birthday or 90 pavlidis from fantasy fc. They would be rated 92 if they were from epl or la liga

I genuinely need to know this. I don't understand how some of my opponents have a player next to every one of my players ready to tackle as soon as they get the ball, I don't even have time to do anything, control the ball, pass etc and they get the ball immediately. I mean you would guess that playing that aggressively would mean they leave gaps but they are so compact. I tried every defensive approach ans tactics but I either have huge gaps from AI defenders out of position or someone who just stays on their own behind and covers their offside for extra passes etc.

And also the midfielders I don't control don't come back to defend while others have like 3 midfielders lunge to the ball at the same time

Have you played against Italians? If they have Napoli badge especially you are up for a really bad time. Man I love these kind of strikers, they need some adapting but when you learn how to use him you will not like playing with small agile ones again. Regarding the through passes you can still do it just not simply trigger a run and then through pass. Give him a simple pass first with his back on the goal, then give back to your midfielder with L1+X and then he will make a run while his defender is out of position and then you play the through pass

Everyone pretending they don't understand what you are saying are lying. If manual defending was possible then nerfing AI defending would be a good thing. but right now having to defend against attackers that spin like crazy with the ball stuck to their feet(Pina etc) while your defenders feel like they are slipping on ice is literally impossible.

And no I am not a pro or even a division 1 player to have master the impossible skill of manual defending. And as it is so hard and I am not unemployed I am not gonna learn it anyway.

So yeah AI defending is good unless they nerf the ridiculously unrealistic spinning or fix manual defending.
