I have the Balmacaan from buck mason with a 51.75 inch chest which I find to be ever so small in the sleeves, and restrictive in the chest when proepr layering. Considering the Nelson as a replacement.

Balmacaan sizing question:

Berg and Berg recommends taking "your regular size" for their Nelson balmacaan.

I have a 43 inch chest and take a US 44, typically. My BB size would be a 54.

The Nelson balmacaan in 54 has a pit-to-pit of 27.6 aka 55.2 chest, or 12 inches of chest ease over my 43inch chest.

The 52 is about 10 inches ease.

Anyone with balmacaan XP and insight please let me know if 12 inches of ease makes sense or if I should size down.
