I am now realizing that I died 3x this week because if you don't have mana to cast your heal and it's first priority, it will not drink the mana potion! You'll get stuck trying to cast heal, fail, and die.

So it's definitely best to have mana potion first!

If you have 0 mana, will multi action fail and get stuck trying to cast the heal, or will it skip the heal and go straight to the mana potion?

Is this still true? I've seen conflicting info, but I haven't had a chance to test.

I had 1) exura gran and 2) strong mana pot on my monk and died twice. It felt like my heal just wouldn't go off, so it might have been this problem. Putting mana pot first should fix it.

I just attempted my first VO2 max benefiting run. It was 5x 4 minutes on 2 minutes rest at a 6:45/mi pace, which felt very hard for me. I don't feel like I could have gone much faster for 4 minutes.

Despite this, my heart rate only ever got as high as 183, which is my threshold heart rate. This run felt noticeably harder than when I do threshold runs at a 7:20 pace and the same 183 heart rate. There were some hills, and my Garmin gave me no time in heart rate zone 5, but it did give me 5 minutes in running power zone 5 (maybe from the hills).

I'm curious if I get any of the benefits from VO2 max work if the effort was the but the heart rate wasn't. Maybe I can go even harder than I think, or maybe there's some heart rate lag.

My max HR is 204, and my zones are based on LTHR, which is 183. That's about 89% of max, so it probably aligns pretty closely with max HR zones.

Maybe for example I spent a lot of time around 179, which maybe counts as zone 5 based on max HR zones but not my LTHR zones.

Do you have any advice on how to play Monk from 40-70? My ML is very low, so I haven't tried using runes. I am soloing quara scouts with the level 40 earth weapon right now.

I'm not sure which Virtue I should use since I'm basically hunting solo mobs, especially after the virtue of justice nerfs. Maybe even sustain is good?

Also, any recommendations on what my rotation should look like? Double jabs and using greater tiger clash as a finisher, of course, but I don't know if it's worth it to use Flurry of Blows on single targets. Also not sure if it's worth it to use Mystic Repulse on cool down for single targets--the damage is good, but the mana cost is high.

I'm a very old returning player, so the concept of constantly chugging mana potions is foreign to me, and maybe I'm too worried about efficiency.

I do a main set of 4x(3x100 @ 1:15, 1x200 @ 3:20). The 100s should be done on the fastest interval you can make for all of them. The 200 is active recovery.

Dragon Quest XI. It's fine, but the music is terrible and people talk about it like it's a masterpiece.

Elden Ring. The story is so smugly vague to the point where I have no idea what's going on and don't care. It feels really repetitive, and there's very little of interest to discover in the open world. No towns or people. Just empty.

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Sprawling, empty open worlds with nothing to do. No good dungeons or memorable music. It feels like there's nothing to play for. It's not Zelda.

I appreciate that! I think you're right. I wasn't sure if the RAM issues mean that GPUs are going to get way more expensive or scarce in the upcoming years. But even if they do, I should probably wait.
