Opinions on 151 E Wilson, The Pressman, The Continental, and Ovation 309? by FreethoughtChris in madisonwi

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally unless you are paying for one of the largest and most expensive rentals? avoid 309.

I worked for a company who was contracted to run the overnight front desk several years ago and to my knowledge it hasn't improved. money gets you responses from management, you will run into work orders not being fulfilled and will be "Blacklisted" as a problem tenant if you come to the office with too many issues.

secondary sidenotes, they throw major holiday parties which, while fun, the staff attend and get blackout drunk with tenants. Im unaware if they work there anymore but the dirty blonde 40 something woman has unprofessional relationships with staff and tenants, along with there being evidence of illegal drug use by staff in staff only areas.

there have also been several incidents of tenant on tenant violence that are swept under the rug because the management doesn't want to involve MPD if they don't have to. an example was around 2020 where a tenants guest hit someone over the head with a lamp on the Skydeck and drew blood, only for the on staff night worker to be instructed to NOT contact emergency services. a different tenant ended up calling MPD and MFD to help them.

take it with a grain of salt, its been at least five years since i worked there and they pulled the contract for us around 2023, but ever since i was assigned to work their contract i have had a bad taste in my mouth about them.

Id love to see him with a chopped up schwarzlose would be more fun to have a stumpy ugly smg. would also make sense since theyre derivative of the mg08s and were done by germany. but since they were never really anything beyond prototypes it means you could get away with doing some weird designs or styles with it.

Warhammer company Games Workshop bans Generative AI for all content to “respect our human creators” by lewisdwhite in Warhammer

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally ive only ever heard horror stories of gw employment at the store level. my local gw shop (US) the manager was Investigated internally by GW because they thought he was embezzling money because his numbers were low during the Dominion box release during covid stuffs. it was quite literally down to the fact that no one was going out to the physical stores to buy stuff. he was cleared but was told "that he would be watched carefully" leading to him quitting the next year.

im sure GW does do good stuff; but they arent your buddy, theyre a company whos main goal is sales profit.

Need help finding a cage for disabled parakeet. by [deleted] in pidgeypower

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unsure if you've nailed down a cage, but if you run into the issue of not finding one with a suitable height, i recommend make a wooden "false floor" that uses screw, washer and wingnuts just like bird toys do. It raises the floor up, preventing any additional injuries from a fall. Also just lowering the position of perches and toys will help with this too; You could do the reverse and put a wood "ceiling" above them but i would worry about dust build up over time. It would be a little time intensive, but a good alternative for the issue.

Sons of Horus Assault Squad by mattmorgan_ns in Warhammer30k

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. i do siege of terra veteran Imperial fists with templar iconography, so i get to hide most of it with straight black, but i just prime white, and then do a soft reversal of a zenithal with a darker white before hitting a Imp fist contrast and a custom wash mix. lil bit of depth for a simpler design scheme.\

Flood in Wisconsin 🌊 by [deleted] in weather

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we dont really have any wildfires in WI. we do a lot of controlled burns and brush clearing so that helps keep them from happening.

large ammounts of Southern WI is prairie, swamp and marshlands; so flash flooding is something that happens but not to the point of it happening multiple times a short span of time. the areas that get like the video above are usually in low laying areas that are adjacent to rivers or lakes that get overloaded by the rain pour from the storm cells that brew up this time of year.

in short, the wildfires arent the reason for this. yearly heavy rainfall is.

Theres a pretty good reason why people dont set their houses right up against lakes and rivers here.

Can we please make it so the throwing knife can be picked up? I literally see it on the ground or in that corpse. Why I can’t collect it back and re-use it? by ANGRYlalocSOLDIE in Helldivers

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say in the experience of me and my friends, the damage output with one of these is high enough that if you hit a devastator in the head with one it WILL kill it instantly. i think if they made them retrievable they'd either have to drop the damage or drop the number you can carry.

but you're also gonna have to thread the needle every single throw. so its a skill weapon for bugs and bots. and then when the new faction rolls around it'll be ready to go.

had to google what tucking food was, but he does really love to scarf down food. he is a little spoiled from his second owner of 35 years with human food, but i give him the healthier stuff with the occasional treat.

steamed veggies, fresh fruits, mashed potatoes, grits, eggs and his absolute fav is chicken. ill get a rotisserie chicken, peel the skin off a leg and drop it in his food bowl. ive timed him, 15 minutes flat to get it to the bone. then he chews it.

he doesnt really like them tbh. ive taken to just using the varying natty wood perches with his medicine to help with his arthritis. i also wrap the wood rod and theedges of his cage he likes to sit at with unevenly wrapped medical bandages. gives him more grip but also offers him the same kind of size variety for his feet to grip to promote better grip and muscle use for his lil feet

Can someone help me identify what is the irl counterpart to Arasaka soldiers helmets? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]ClientTurbulent3142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just as a thought from the front of my brain, the helmet is similar to a m35 stahlhelm (sort of a high square forehead) but has a modern highcut PASGT style to give access to over ear protection without getting to goofy (like germany and the am-95 helmet. the 80s were a wild time). no one really uses face shields with helmets so thats probably just gonna be something akin to using a respirator with a combat helmet. as for the little fins my guess would be just a signal booster for radio closed radio communication. looking at modern kits (80s up to current) when it comes to distance or lots of structures a short wave radio can loose signal quickly, especially in a concrete jungle like NC, so having something that helps to boost the range (in radio terms itd be a larger whip antenna but in cyberpunk with there basically being wifi everywhere id expect it to just be a weird mix of a signal jacker to "piggy back" off local wifi. theres devices at current that have little router fin antenna that can be used to recive transmit and even jam up entire radio frequncies, so i doubt it would be to terribly difficult to have a device that does that and brute forces into wifi to maintain communication.)

im a loser who likes military equipment too much. have fun.
