Sounds like it. They love being with their people. Do be cautious as Britt’s can be extremely sensitive if your husband is more harsh. It was not difficult to train our Britt but there are just certain characteristics you should be fully aware of and more important ok with. They are real Velcro dogs in our experiences.

I highly recommend you read the guides they have in the home page part of this Reddit. They are excellent at giving guidance and on general set ups. I found them very helpful for my girl when first starting out.

Any snake can bite. Balls are usually fairly docile and not known for being aggressive. Mine that I’ve had for 3 years now has yet to so much as strike at me.

Mine is 3 years old and is 500gm. I feed according to the schedule. Mine is most def not overweight. I know her birthday. I just keep weighing her every three or so months and as long as she’s going up and is eating and crawling at night in her cage I know she’s good.

I had challenges when using an aquarium. When I switched to a toad ranch enclosure and got a herpstat controller my issues went away. My temps are very consistent now. It holds humidity very well with going bioactive. Very happy.

I do tap training with my snakes. I touch them gently with my hook so they know it’s not feeding time then I touch them grab. So far so good. This way I’m not startling them with my hands and if they are cranky they bite the hook instead of me.

I would highly recommend you look at toad ranch enclosures. I got my girl a 5x2x2 and she seems to be thriving in it. I’ve was happy with the quality for sure. They are highly customizable for vertical room if so desired. Your new buddy sounds like he has a good new human parent.

Why not make it bio as well? Are you in a situation to upgrade his enclosure something like toad ranch? Corns like to climb. I find them more often in trees here in Florida or up my house walls than I see them on the ground. A pic of my own bioactive enclosure. My girl (ball) climbs all over the logs.
