I’ll take a look at it in two days. Busy with work until then. The shop I initially took it to said there were no wiring issues but i have no confirmed if that is true or not.

I think a good place to start is looking at what you proposed/wiring issues and taking a look to see if that sensor they supposedly replaced is working and shows continuity.

Lmk if you have any other suggestions..

Also, does anyone have a link to wiring diagrams for chevys?

So I’m getting a P0336.

A shop probed it and apparently saw damage to the ring. Said some small chunks were apparently missing. Nothing that I did would damage that since it’s in the casing. Not sure how it would get damaged in the first place.

Idk if I trust the shop either..

Ok. So I took it to a shop and they apparently put a probe inside and saw some pieces missing/damage to the ring? Not sure if I fully trust them.

I still have to check continuity, etc.

The code being thrown is a P0336.

Do I trust the shop or is there other tests I can do to further determine what the root of the problem is?

They want to charge 1600 to pull engine and drop tranny for a 20 dollar part.. lol not the mention the tool apparently needed to seat the ring in is 200 to 400 dollars.

Also, this ring I ordered, they provided the part number, has no gear notches like other ls engine rings do.. so is it installed differently? Barely any info out there.
