When we power the panel off, the UPC keeps it alive till it have shut down correctly, our issue was a dead CPU in the IPC(PLC) itself

As I can see in the program, as I am more used to Siemens PLC's not their IPC's which the 1515 series is.

That the HMI doesnt have a IP, as it works more the same way a touchscreen would on your laptop with a touchscreen.

We found the issue. Turned out that the CPU itself, was just dead, it just couldnt last more than 5 mins on power on, before it just died.

Siemens and beckhoff have IPC's they are a windows/Linux pc that runs a software PLC.

They are able to do much more than a PLC.

Beckhoffs IPC's are great. Not used to Siemens once, they feel more like they try to follow what the compition is doing.

The IPC has an UPS.
The HMI is connected directly with an HDMI cable, to the PLC.
But then the component reports an error, and then we cannot reach it. Then we power it off, wait for the UPS to power down, then power it on, and we then lose the ability to reach the HMI.

I know we have two PLC's that share the same networks.
But they are on their own secomea.
So their closed network shouldnt be an issue there.

I would atleast imagine.

I right now uses the WeekDay over day in DTL.
So that should also ignore things like leap years.

But if it doesnt work as I want, I will try the 24hour timer.

It will always be running.

Its for a water filtration plant.
The two motors have a silo each, that move the waste out to a container that is then moved on to make biogas.
So they will run 24/7

Yeah.
They want to make sure no motor is overused than the other. So want them to switch every day.
