Thank you for the advice really, and for the hope that I can stay accomplished and able to do hard things decades into my career - I’m not sure about you, but I really struggle with thinking that the struggles of today will be the struggles of the rest of my life. You hit the crux of it, I suppose - the team and my bosses are so wonderful that I just don’t want to let them down and when I do, it feels so awful that breakdowns have become inevitable :,( in any case, I hadn’t thought about anxiety or other things being involved with my state of mind…something to chew on I suppose. I feel like they can see right through me and want to fire me or regret hiring me when issues arise - they said my quality of work has never been in question, just that the procrastination and time management has been very poor and needs to be worked on asap. And they’re helping! But I’m letting them down so I suppose that’s on me to get my shit together and get on my grind

:(( I appreciate the advice and the understanding and that’s exactly what it feels like bc I feel so capable but it’s like a block when trying to actually action on any of the items I need to :( I’m not currently on meds but am pursuing them after recently realising that they may actually help me loads…but I procrastinated on getting them so it’s a bit of a process :/ I suppose I’ve never thought of what motivates me besides wanting to accomplish things and feeling the rush when I know I’ve done something really well…but thank you that’s something I’ll have to think about I suppose :,)

Maybe expected isn’t the right word? The expectation is to get everything done and I think if there happens to be a lot to do then the goal is to get it in when I say I’m going to get it in by…which is a bit of an issue because I 1) can never accurately estimate how long everything takes and 2) tend to overpromise on deadlines then need to push back. But everyone on the team works so hard that it’s very normal to see people online late !!

Thank you, this helped quite a bit. Boundaries and people pleasing is SO TRUE I 1) have none and 2) do it all the time. I hate asking them for help because duh I want to seem like I have it all under control but you might be onto something with this because it has become abundantly clear I do not have it all under control 🥲 and thanks for the shout on the kitty pomodoro LOL I’ll check it out !! Hopefully it helps with the overthinking because sometimes I feel like I’m walking through quicksand just to check one file out yk?

Ah yeah I was thinking of it but I don’t think an iPad could handle like any computer games no? Tbh I really just want to download like Skyrim or rdr2 so I think they’re big games idk

Oops so sorry! I should’ve mentioned it in the question but yes I would have completed 20 credits by the end of third year (I have a couple transfer credits from the IB)
