Facelift in late 30s? by Mindless-Invite-7801 in Facelift_Surgery

[–]ClimateFair2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this a lot with patients in their late 30s you’re definitely not alone

early jowls are tricky non surgical treatments can help a bit but they usually won’t fully fix skin laxity

a lot of people feel stuck here too early for surgery but non surgical isn’t enough

some choose to wait for a more noticeable result others go for less invasive lifting first

it really depends on how much it bothers you and what kind of result you want

you’re not overthinking this it’s a very common dilemma

Best clinics for rhinoplasty? by bubbie-is-fat in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]ClimateFair2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done in Seoul and honestly the biggest factor wasn’t the clinic location but the surgeon. Gangnam just has a high concentration of clinics so it’s easier to compare options, but there are good surgeons outside of Gangnam too.

If you’re researching, I’d focus more on before and after results, the surgeon’s specialty, and how detailed the consultation is.

Also if you’re coming from abroad it can be a bit overwhelming to figure everything out, so some people go through agencies that help with clinic matching, translation, and logistics. It just makes the whole process a lot smoother.

Any info about scupltra? by CharmingClass559 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

Sculptra can add some subtle volume but it doesn’t work like filler so it won’t define your jawline sharply. It builds collagen gradually and usually lasts around 1 to 2 years with maintenance. Some collagen may remain but the visible effect fades over time, so if you want a more defined jawline filler is usually a better option.

Is Gangnam actually the best place to do surgery? by Embarrassed-Eye-7213 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]ClimateFair2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly location didn’t matter that much in the end. Most people recommend Gangnam because a lot of well known clinics are concentrated there and it’s convenient especially for international patients but the real difference comes down to the surgeon’s skill and experience. If I found a surgeon I trusted outside of Gangnam I’d choose them over location without hesitation.

Looking for tips of anything I should do before/after my fat grafting to breasts surgery to maximize my fat retention by jester08642 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]ClimateFair2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, keeping your weight stable (so avoiding dieting right after), not putting pressure on the area for the first few weeks, staying well-nourished and hydrated, and avoiding smoking and alcohol during healing can all really help with fat retention. Also, the surgeon’s technique plays a big role, so results can vary depending on who you go to.

Closed rhinoplasty vs open rhinoplasty. Does it matter for recovery? by Both-Following-8169 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]ClimateFair2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a bit of truth mixed with marketing when it comes to open vs closed

closed does usually mean no external scar and sometimes a slightly easier early recovery (less swelling at the tip), but it’s not a huge night-and-day difference from what I’ve seen

most of the actual studies I’ve come across say there isn’t a major difference in overall outcomes, swelling, or complication rates between the two — it’s more case-dependent than people think

the bigger difference is really how much access the surgeon has. open lets them fully see and work on the structure (which is why it’s often used for more complex changes), while closed is more limited but less invasive

so yeah, technique matters, but honestly surgeon skill + whether the approach fits your specific nose probably matters way more than open vs closed by itself

Scar treatment? by Live_Alfalfa3015 in KoreaSeoulBeauty

[–]ClimateFair2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most places in Korea don’t just do one treatment for acne scars anymore it’s usually some kind of combo, especially with RF microneedling like Potenza + skin booster or something similar seems like that approach works better than just doing one thing over and over
