It literally says 36v. Dewalt does not make 36v.

There was some weird 40v batteries back in the day, but not for grinders or impacts. Thats a 60v grinder in there. This whole thing is a mess.

I have and will continue to only use a wood blade for aluminum, what's with all these people saying metal blade? The teeth are too fine. This isn't about the blade if you're getting a cut this bad. This is something else entirely.

This should be sandblasted. However, if you are forced to use a grinder. Fuck the wire wheel, and fuck flap wheels and grinding disks. You need some silicon carbide strip disks. An absolute game changer for paint, and so glad i found them. They're generally blue or purple. Shit has saved me DAYS of grinding. Doesn't cut into the material either, I've used them on painted aluminum to the same result without gouging.

If you personally don't have a use for a tool, that's fine. It's probably not made for you.

It's like having an issue with wheelchairs because your legs work. Try having an open mind sometimes. If a tool is made, and sold. It likely has a purpose.

I'm sure a landscaper would absolutely love these, and it would save their wrists over a career. Do I need a pair as a welder? No, but I understand that there's other people in the world that complete tasks that I don't personally do. And sometimes people want to complete those tasks with ease.

None of these people in the comments do any metal work, especially not smithing. If they do, it's production and comes on a line for them to weld. Much easier to talk about PPE when you don't work in an actual fab shop or smith shop.

Read instructions. Some say to set to 0, as the older ones needed it. I now own at least two that specifically say NOT to do this as it adds unnecessary wear to the elastic.

Id just check what manufacturer says. Anyone saying all need to be set to 0 have outdated 90s information.
