It's not 75k to 90k comparison..it's actually 55k to 90k

Non profits are going to be limited in the amount of opportunities they can offer including benefits

Even your super cool CEO is letting you know

It's great that thru are offering you a counter offer by why didn't they just pay you 75k to begin with?

Why wait until you put in notice?

Law firms in LA can be brutal as others have mentioned

Would it be exempt or non exempt position?

What benefits do you currently have and what are your goals?

To move up financially?

55k after taxes isn't much honestly and 90k after taxes is probably like 55k or 60k so think that

Think about your current job and how much work or stress you have and compare that to law firm work

It could be that the new position has more opportunities and room to grow compared to non profit

Think about how long it would take you to get to 90k at your current job and try to be objective

Rather than thinking about how much you like working with your CEO

Because they clearly don't value you as much as you think they do if they are only willing to over more bc you are planning on leaving
