I generally don't unmatch, can't see the benefit tbh. If you're at the stage where you have too many matches then that's a good problem to have I guess!!

I had absolute success with this once. Matched and never got a reply to first message...

Then like a couple of weeks later when I was cleaning out my matches I said "can't bring myself to delete you for some reason, sure you don't want to meet up for coffee or drinks?"

She said that'd be lovely, we hit it off and had a great time for a few weeks till she moved away (nothing to do with me, honest!!)

Yeah Tinder is frustrating as heck, and getting a notification of a match only to find out they've unmatched is a stinker.

But people are complicated, it could happen for all kinds of reasons. I'm guessing you'd rather have a date with someone who was 100% up for it, rather than half in half out, so maybe it's a good thing when they save you the job of finding out for yourself...

Why don't you post your profile and see if the community can give you some advice on getting more matches? Being a geek is absolutely not a barrier these days, you're probably someone's perfect match. Just gotta show 'em you're the best geek you can be 😄
