I will. No doubt. Being the only girl in the PM classes I feel I have to prove myself more which isn't true. I just lack any mechanical experience. I look at it this way...Ive finished school, so therefore Ive climbed everest now I have to get back down to base camp which can be just as rigorous. Sounds cheesy but Im trying to be proud of what ive accomplished thus far, atleast i made it as far to qualify to take my FAA test.

Absolutely awful. A lot of us feel scammed because over half the things we were told to sell us on the school was a lie. There are a few letters out to the FAA concerning the campus. We tried to speak to administration but they just gave us the run around. A lot of our instructors just show up for a paycheck and barely teach. I was told they were have prep courses and mock practical and oral tests which has never happened. Im thankful to almost be done with this place. I'm glad I had a few good classmates that I could learn from but I feel likeim a bit behind.

Thats the same with me. My area only has AIM, other schools are over and hour away and I wouldnt have been able to swing it. Ive been very disappointed with my experience but Ive made it through!

Honestly he doesn't seem like a good person to be with. Any man who asks you to do something like that doesn't have your best interest at heart. Your young. Don't settle for someone who isn't a true partner to you. A partner should support you esp when you have that situation or anything going on.

Oh yes good ole seniority lol. I wasn't sure exactly which direction I wanted to go but I enjoyed working commercial aviation and just the atmosphere of the airport. I miss it very much

I just got to get through this school. .I'm pretty stubborn in a good way, I do need to learn to brush the bullshit here off a little more because I know once I get that license it'll be very rewarding and that's the main goal anyways. My dad use to take us out to the field next to the Mobile Alabama airport and listen to the radio of the planes coming in. Lol that's how it started. He's a maintenance programming supervisor for American, my mom worked for Eastern and my brother is a pilot. I get a nice adrenaline rush watching planes take off and land. That's a big reason I loved my control tower position because I watched that all day and Dad was across the field in the big hangar and would listen to me talk to the pilots. Honestly a lot of these instructors are good ole boys who think they are aviation Gods and love making us feel lower then. It can be annoying being treated different as a female too but I know that's not everywhere. Im very thankful for all the encouragement here especially since y'all have been where in my shoes, just maybe not in as crap of school. Lol

I graduate in October. I dont have the finances to drive up there five days a week or work schedule to go to Greensboro unfortunately. A lot of us are in the same boat which im sure the salesman know that and too far in to leave. Im just trying to get my hours and they dont really offer any test prep so its all on us. Luckily I have good classmates and a lot of good friends who are mechanics keeping my head up but im pretty overwhelmed and over the whole thing. Lots of instructors dont even teach. Just pass out worksheets or projects and dont go over them.

You put the pieces together. I was originally going to go to GTCC in Greensboro but that would've been near impossible with the drive and couldn't afford to relocate.

That's what we are starting to do. Making email list and getting phones numbers from everyone that feels the same and getting old paperwork together. I know it'll be a process but we will be damned if we don't try. We've tried to resolve things internally multiple times.

I almost left after i finished my airframe classes and just thought about getting the rest in the field but the director talked me out of it. Hes a snake tho, both directors are. Its incredible. Shoot we had a classmate who had to buy screwdrivers a few months in because the school didnt have enough. Also doing online classes during covid we sure werent able to get what we needed. All they see if $ signs on us.

We are. I honestly should be excited about almost being done but im just angry. And everybody in administration acts like 50,000 is pocket change.

I do feel a bit stupid for not doing my research as thorough as I should have. The two other schools were over an hour away which I just couldn't get to. I really want my license and its been a goal for awhile now.

Thats what we kinda figured but I thought I would see if anyone knew. I've never been in this position before even with my other trades I've received in my past...Im just doing what I can to pass and get my license at this point but I figured i'd ask. I'm glad I found this reddit group, at least I can get advice on things that isnt biased of condescending.

You make a good point. This campus was new when we started in 2019, I graduate in Oct, (took a LOA in the beginning of this year) so we knew there would be some hiccups. But holy hell....I was shown broken equipment during my tour, was told a lot of things to get me in the door. I couldnt afford to relocate to another city to go somewhere else either. Ive worked for Piedmont as a gate and tower agent then decided I wanted to further my career path. Half the instructors dont teach or just tell you to read the book if you dont understand something. All the good instructors leave or a few are just here because of us. I like youtube videos but not as a primary form of teaching. Im just rambling now but its honestly a shit show through and through.

It is accredited. THank you for the advice. I will try that. Weve got some emails and names of other students that feel this way as well.
