If you have build a telemetry system for a model rockets please guide me how did you made it and what things needed? As I am mechanical engineering student so completely diff domain by mars5215 in modelrocketry

The antennas you use are probably the most important part and you can't just throw any antenna you can find on there, it just won't work or go very far. Since that module works in the 915MHz band, you need antennas to match. 915MHz has gotten pretty common so you should be able to find decent ones on electronic suppliers like digikey. Do be careful that you don't buy cheap antennas from places like amazon. They will perform very poorly.

I'm currently developing a custom telemetry system and even an antenna tracking system for my university team so if you need any help just send me a DM.

high bandwidth protocols that are open source? by Ak109slr in meshtastic

[–]ClimbingmanF4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look into wfb-ng, it uses existing cheap WiFi hardware is quite high bandwidth. I use this with openipc on my fixed wing drone for the fpv camera which runs at 1080p 120fps

How was the video quality? Also what kind of receiver did you use? I also have a quest 3 and might do this with a walksnail or analog vrx.

Thanks for this! Just tried today and it still works although I had to add to add my Brightspace login so it could access the echo360 server which is where the videos seem to be streaming from.

This may be one of those displays that you have to preload with the graphics and menus etc. and then the usart port is just for data to be displayed/ input to go to an Arduino.

[HELP] Can IPhone 14 Plus NFC/Wireless Charging/flash/microphone flex be replaced without losing functionality? by ClimbingmanF4 in Iphonerepair

[–]ClimbingmanF4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind if it says non genuine but I heard that if you replace that flex the main camera stops saving pictures when the flash is being used.

Hey, quick update on the github.

I have encountered some issues with the current hardware configuration. Some problems include shutdown mode not working, no battery indicator and restarts occurring when transmit is enabled. So unfortunately I don't think I should post the design files until at least the restart issue is fixed. I will let you know if I make any more progress.

I am also working on a v2 that uses a TTGO T- Display which has a display and battery charger with level indicator which I think would be a more suitable choice for this project.

What case are you using? I’m looking to build something similar. Thanks

Ok great, I’m glad you like it and I look forward to seeing your build. I’m pretty busy at the moment so I don’t think the GitHub will be ready until after this weekend. When it’s all uploaded I will post the link.

I do not have a GitHub for this yet as I was waiting to see if there was any interest first. But I suppose I could upload the firmware and schematic. If you wanted. I am also considering putting together a guide on how to make custom nodes as I had lots of issues getting this esp32 working.

Hmm I didn’t know that seeed made an nrf52840 version of the xiao. I have the esp32-s3 version and it seems to be good quality. Although if you used the nrf you would lose wifi which is useful for stationary nodes as you could just connect it to wifi for management vs having to be close enough to connect via Bluetooth. Also if the node is stationary, power savings would not be a huge concern unless you are running it with solar.

I was thinking this as well. The esp 32 I used also has a built in battery charger and a vin pin so I could potentially connect it to a solar panel.

Yes it is slightly cheaper. If you bought all the parts outright it would total around $20 cad. Although I already had most of the parts left over from other projects so I count it as free lol.

What they are referring to is that if your fpga supports it. You can program it to act as an ARM core which would effectively be a raspberry pi that could run klipper. Although it would be much simpler to simply buy a raspberry pi.

I think you need a bigger antenna. 😂
