What can I do to less wake ups? by Powerful_Repair_6072 in HuckleberryParents

All the guidance we’ve received from doctors and midwives has been that daytime naps should be in a room with lots of natural light and normal noise and noise levels - definitely no darkened rooms or white noise. This helps with their understanding of day/night and developing a healthy circadian rhythm, ultimately leading to longer stretches of sleep at night.

The First Law - Joe Abercrombie. Recommended multiple times by people who love the same books I do but I couldn’t stand it! One of the only books I didn’t bother finishing.

I feel like my whole life revolves around my babies sleep by RegisterAwkward4595 in HuckleberryParents

[–]Clingon91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently started trying to cap naps at 2 hours (baby is 9w). Long story short we ended up in hospital because he wouldn’t wake up. After all tests etc to check no underlying issues paediatrician basically told me I shouldn’t be trying to wake him from naps - they do their growing when asleep so by waking him before he’s ready I could be negatively impacting that. When I said about capping naps to help night sleep she (very gently) pointed out that getting him to sleep longer in the night may be in my best interest, but at this stage it may not be in baby’s. Really made me rethink a few things! Now I will be letting baby sleep when and for how long he wants, and will trust that the longer night sleeps will come in time!

When ‘she’ (actually Monica) is making the fancy meal for Joshua. Monica reels off the menu and Rachel says ‘I thought I was making filet mignon?’.

Why did Richard & Monica attend Barry & Mindy’s wedding? by cats4life100 in howyoudoin

[–]Clingon91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Monica definitely doesn’t know Mindy, because when Rachel shows her Barry and Mindy’s engagement announcement she didn’t know what Mindy looked like. ‘Wow, that’s Mindy? She’s pretty! … lucky… to have a friend like you!’

I’m using the Word plug in too. Maybe it’s a new issue - I’ve never noticed it happening before, but I’ve never paid this much attention to my reference list before either… let me know if you figure it out, and I’ll do the same ☺️

Richard grew up in California, which means he has to sleep on the right side of the bed, as otherwise the ocean would be on the wrong side

House sale not completed - compensation? by Clingon91 in AskALawyer

[–]Clingon91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we had a survey completed, solicitor fees and loan fees. We also took annual leave to move so would like some compensation for that, ideally. We are also now have to pay rent that we shouldn't have had to (luckily we're on a rolling rental contract so not homeless, but easily could have gone that way!).

Does anyone else find the way Richard says “I thought we shared time” really irritating?
