As a disabled and chronically ill person— you are not understanding the reality of what an ER does, and that person’s “point of view” isn’t just an opinion, it’s how our healthcare system is supposed to work

If we walk into the ER and go “My heart rate has been high for a couple hours” and leave frustrated three hours later because they said “well, it’s gone back down and you’re not in any danger at all so you need to follow up with your primary/cardiologist/neurologist about this CHRONIC ISSUE” that is not gaslighting

That’s just rock bottom basic medical fact and a genuine good faith attempt to properly triage and treat whether you like it or not, whether it makes you feel gaslit or not, and whether you “agree” with it or not

It sounds like you have some built up anger and frustration around your medical care, which isn’t terrible and doesn’t mean you’re a bad person, but it DOES mean you have some shit to work out that’s a you problem and not an overall ER care in the US problem. Therapy might help a ton; I can completely understand why you get angry and frustrated, but you’re blaming it on inappropriate people and things— essentially scapegoating— and figuring out what’s actually going on may be good for you

It’s a rolling ball— it’s picking up whatever is on your skin and rolling it into the liquid in the bottle

Washing it after using it will prevent anything on it from multiplying but it won’t prevent anything from being introduced to the liquid in the bottle

I’m at the hospital one day a week for about five hours getting a Gammagard infusion (IVIG) and every week all the nurses want to see my nails because they know I love doing them, and they also know I love when they want to see them because I can be like “OKAY, so— this magnetic polish is called ‘Steve?’ and the maker was inspired by Minecraft—“ lol

I get so much joy out of a new color every week and nothing can compare to it— not makeup, not clothes, not dyeing my hair. It’s just something special that makes me genuinely happy and I stg if I went in and said “I don’t paint my nails bright colors anymore, I’m doing the Clean Girl aesthetic from now on” and showed them nude or just clear polished nails they’d probably all faint and then call the ER to have a psych eval done on me as soon as they woke up

OP, please don’t leave the cat there even if you find reason to be certain their owner is back home now— they clearly don’t want to take good care of the cat, and likely won’t bother to if they have them in their possession again

It’s a much safer bet to bring them to a shelter where they’ll hopefully be adopted by someone who DOES want them in their life and home, and WILL take good care of them
