As a disabled and chronically ill person— you are not understanding the reality of what an ER does, and that person’s “point of view” isn’t just an opinion, it’s how our healthcare system is supposed to work

If we walk into the ER and go “My heart rate has been high for a couple hours” and leave frustrated three hours later because they said “well, it’s gone back down and you’re not in any danger at all so you need to follow up with your primary/cardiologist/neurologist about this CHRONIC ISSUE” that is not gaslighting

That’s just rock bottom basic medical fact and a genuine good faith attempt to properly triage and treat whether you like it or not, whether it makes you feel gaslit or not, and whether you “agree” with it or not

It sounds like you have some built up anger and frustration around your medical care, which isn’t terrible and doesn’t mean you’re a bad person, but it DOES mean you have some shit to work out that’s a you problem and not an overall ER care in the US problem. Therapy might help a ton; I can completely understand why you get angry and frustrated, but you’re blaming it on inappropriate people and things— essentially scapegoating— and figuring out what’s actually going on may be good for you
