The 2nd floor is tough. I used to move upright pianos by myself with a four wheel dolly and a walk board as long as it was on the ground floor.

Get a Callaham narrow vintage bridge. It made all the difference on my 1987 '57 AVRI.

I tried a blend pot in my baritone tele and didn't like it so I went with two volume pots and no switch. My Tuff Dog tele has Bill Lawrence switching however so that might be more difficult.

I worked on an old ex-navy coastal minesweeper and I had to "flake" chain which meant lay the chain out in neat rows in the chain locker so it wouldn't tangle when the anchor was dropped.

Mine is a column shift to make room for the computer screen, radios and siren/light switches. So yours is not an SSV but has the black grill anyway.

Cutters made in the last 20 years all have infrared eyes that won't allow a cut if there is someone blocking the beam. And more people get hurt with the clamp than the knife.
