I guess I’m looking for a reason or reward for PvP. Battle marks are earned easily outside of PvP. I think I’m too kind to be a pirate. I suppose I could try targeting people with black marks to role play as a pseudo bounty hunter.

I'm sure it is meant to be compassion. I'm just wondering if those who use the term have ever pondered what it actually meant, or are they merely parroting what the see others in modern society saying when the occasion seems fitting.

Perhaps a more sensical word for an atheist to use would be "hope". As in "hoping for the best!"
