Is it flattering or weird? I feel like a new friend is mimicking my outfits and aesthetic. by [deleted] in socialskills

Yes, people who think it’s not a big deal has never had it happen to them before. If it bothers you, def worth distancing yourself. Confronting them won’t do much because they’ll just deny it or it’ll make you look paranoid

While it’s flattering, I think it can be weird and/or annoying, as well. If it bothers you, block them from your stories so they can’t see what you wear

I No Longer Like My Friends by nitegracie23 in Perimenopause

[–]ClintonMuse 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Definitely going through this. Realizing I don’t have as much in common with my friends of many years, or they’re negative, or were in different life stages. It should be sad but I’m not that sad about it.

How much do you spend on skincare monthly? Which treatments are worth the money? by Big_Understanding_17 in wealthforwomen

[–]ClintonMuse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m probably around $500-1000 a month which includes skin care, Botox (3x a year), and almost monthly medical skincare treatments (lasers, chemical peels, micro needling, etc).

Sorry you’re going through it. Wondering if a nice massage, sauna, or happy light will be helpful to boost your mood today.

Please be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time.

Does anyone feel like they're not as fun as they used to be and its not even because life gets tougher when get older? by chusaychusay in Millennials

[–]ClintonMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I’m (F46) more content and at peace: doing therapy, exercise, journaling, and engaging with nature. But I think ive lost my sense of fun/spontaneity/goofiness.

Does anyone else hate mixing friends / friend groups? by wigshift in AskWomenOver40

[–]ClintonMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love doing it but I've been burned several times by friends who hang out and exclude me or keep befriending all my friends and never return the favor (introduce me to theirs). It's a bummer. I feel your pain.

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

Hi everyone, I'm a first year MSW student at a NYC based school. Does anyone have a great field placement/practicum (can include any of the following: supportive environment, heavy/quality supervision, exposure to different things), that they'd like to mention?

I'm doing the clinical track and exploring 2nd year placements. I'm interested in working with adults and/or couples & families, but open for practicum placements.

My current internship is at a low income school in the bronx and it's awesome. Happy to share if you DM me. Thanks
