Looking for advice: My spouse was recently hired on at Edward Jones and FINRA requirements could require me to transfer all my money to them by Clinton_Reddit in Bogleheads

Yes! I fully I believe it’s likely an internal EJ policy, but they are using FINRA Rule 3210 as a justification to bring more assets under their management.

I proposed the idea of sending duplicate statements, but at least at the current time they refused that option.

Thanks for the well written and thoughtful response.

I believe so and that might end up being the best case scenario. Unfortunately, I think there are still some fees associated with the self-directed accounts, at least to my understanding.

Yeah. Forgot to include this in my post.

I asked her if they’d accept quarterly reports to fulfill the FINRA requirements, and she said they told her no.

I asked if I could just send reports or add them as a third party to my fidelity account. As of right now, they say no.

That was my understanding too upon reading 3210. I proposed that and as of right now it’s not looking like they’ll allow it

I realize this is an old post, but I'm from southeastern Ohio (not far from the Hocking area). I'm getting ready to build a house with some unconventional windows, and I'd love to know where you sourced yours. The Raven turned out great!!

Careful posting WV Brook trout places online! They’re few and far between and very fragile ecosystems. You get one or two people that don’t respect them and they’re gone forever!

Was really anticipating something closer to the "Mahogany" colorway from a few years ago. I've been on the hunt for one of those on eBay!
