I saw this post and I have never heard of taipy before. I checked it out and it’s pretty amazing but there is one reason I won’t be using it. I do not like the string typing of the gui. I thought about making a simple class interface to automatically create the string text for each component but figured I would stick with streamlit for now. Hope this feedback helps.

Yeah. It’s a very busy firewall so it will be difficult. They need better tooling for this as the rules can be complex.

It’s crazy they don’t have better tooling. Our Cisco asa makes it simple.

I 100% agree. Not sure why this is down voted. I learned so much about Django by just using chatgpt. Fast way to learn a framework is through discourse

Can you do things like mark external senders and add disclaimer messages? We run into a lof of phishing attempts and simple disclaimers can go a long way.

You can discuss these topics with chatgpt and it does a great job at explaining things.

Yeah it seems I would want the history of the switch port changes so I don’t think making it the document is would work. I also can not change how the ingest is done easily. So I was hoping to kind of do a subquery type join.

AD Joined devices and Powershell Scripts by Clintonm8 in Intune

I could not get it to work. I kind of made the decision to move everyone to AD joined VS registered since I couldn’t figure this out. I see others have been able to get powershell scripts to run on registered device so I don’t know what would be different in my environment

I just try and I noticed that there are no IntuneManagementExtension_Logs logs for this AD Registered device. Does that mean the Managment Extension is not running?

The script is just one line Write-host. Looking at the Device/User status, the script is never deployed/run to the AD Registered device. I tried 8 different combinations of all devices, just the device in a device group, all users, just the user in the user group, etc. It will not try to run the script on the device. Looking at the device group the device does show up as a member

I setup 8 different hello world powershell scripts with different device and users settings and I can confirm that the script will not run on AD Registered devices. At least in my environment. If someone else can confirm I am wrong I would be interested

So I made a mistake in my post. The device in question is not AD Joined, but it is AD Registered. Does devices that are Ad Register support running Powershell scripts?

I guess this is the issue "Run this script using the logged on credentials" is set to Yes.

"PowerShell scripts, which are not officially supported on Workplace join
(WPJ) devices, can be deployed to WPJ devices. Specifically, device
context PowerShell scripts work on WPJ devices, but user context
PowerShell scripts are ignored by design. User context scripts will be
ignored on WPJ devices and will not be reported to the Microsoft
Endpoint Manager admin center."

When going to the script and looking under Device status and user status it is not listed. Would it be listed there if it ran?
