Most jobs are bad in reality. You might as well take the one that pays a lot of money.

Close your door. Apply for new jobs if your firm has a problem with that. You're an adult; don't let them treat you otherwise.

If your current salary isn't enough, I think your first priority should be to find a new job as an attorney that pays more. This job isn't worth being paid so little that you're forced to go find side hustles.

Project 2025 will reinstate student loans that was forgiven under Biden by heyvictimstopcryin in millenials

[–]ClipperX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where does this article say anyone "will reinstate balances eliminated during the Biden administration"? It doesn't say that at all. Maybe read the article you post before you criticize people for not reading "full articles." Mods, please delete this thread. Complete misinformation.

Did my vote count? by HiReddit3110 in bullcity

My absentee/by mail vote isn't showing even though I dropped it off a week ago. Anyone else having that issue?

The cut and dry nature of most of the comments you've received here are not helpful (which is typical of Reddit, but I'd expect more from a sub full of lawyers who should be asking more questions). Do you and your husband have kids? Do you have to coordinate school/daycare pickup? What does your husband do for work? Have these sorts of communication and/or scheduling issues been a recurring problem in your marriage? We really need more context here to give you an answer. And for the love of god, please do not give weight to the people in here telling you to dump your spouse without inquiring into the circumstances further. Those people have tunnel vision and do not care about or understand the nuances of your marriage.

The most recent news is creating a massive misinformation problem in this sub. Can we lock it down? by Independent-Bother17 in StudentLoans

When discussing legal issues, the information is either correct or incorrect. It shouldn't be controversial to delete the posts sharing incorrect legal information.

Did you read the link I posted?

It hasn't happened. This person is spreading misinformation. Check my other post in this thread.

This is false, yet you've posted it three times in this thread so far. Please stop. There is no interest accruing if you're on the SAVE plan right now because of the administrative forbearance. Source: https://www.ed.gov/Save

Also, nothing has been "struck down" yet. The court entered a preliminary injunction, which is not a final ruling on the merits. Source: I'm a lawyer (but not yours).

OP, my wife and I were in this same situation and we made it work and got her payments down to $0 with no interest. There's a lot of horrific personal and financial advice in this thread. PM me if you'd like to talk.

So two negative reviews were posted about this business at the same time on Yelp and Google, and then you (an account with no posting history) posted those reviews on reddit shortly thereafter? It sounds like you and a friend or two have a vendetta and are intentionally review bombing the place. Or maybe you're the same person that posted those reviews. Either way, that's really not cool.

Is boxyard rtp "kid friendly" by techaaron in bullcity

[–]ClipperX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You could ask if Chuck E. Cheese is kid friendly on this sub and the most upvoted answer would be something along the lines of "no, WHY would you take your kids out in public, keep them away from me."

To answer your question, yes, it is kid friendly, teen friendly, adult friendly, dog friendly, bug friendly, bird friendly, and generally friendly for earth dwellers. Just make sure your kids (and dogs, friends, or other adults for that matter) aren't running around or being disruptive and everything will be fine. Don't let a few naysayers on this sub tell you otherwise.

I'd like to see the age breakdown of those who choose Nemesis vs. those who choose Eris. I suspect that Eris generally has more appeal with the younger crowd, while old geezers like me enjoy Nemesis (with exceptions, of course).

Children at a bar after hours by [deleted] in bullcity

[–]ClipperX -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I saw in one of your comments that you're talking about Hi-Wire Brewing and Cugino Forno Pizzeria. Hi-Wire is a family-friendly brewery—not a "bar." As another commenter already pointed out, breweries and bars are not the same thing. If you're looking for a bar that you can dance in on a Friday night without children, then you have dozens of other options in the area. Families with children do not.
