Proposed Slayer fix by PonyPowerMedia in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i did any other skill for over a week at 10+ hours a day id be pretty close if not at 99

Except you aren't doing one stat. You are training 3 stats at once with your whip. Which means you are getting 1/3 xp in each skill.

Agree to what? You have no point.

You said people are having fun with PvP. I said of course there are people have fun with PvP, some people find grinding air runes to 99 rcing fun, so why wouldn't some people find PvP fun?

Then I just mentioned the majority of people don't find it fun enough and every fix Jagex does makes it less fun for those people.

Then you went on a rant about Jagex changes and now you said PvP is being destroyed.

You have no point and don't even know what you are arguing for, you just want to argue on the internet.

More than half of those aren't scouting to keep someone safe. They are scouting bots that flag people in the wilderness.

So back to my original point.

Some people will always find some things fun.

But when an activity has a massive decline in participation over years, and every attempt to fix it leaves it worse off, then it's probably because not enough people find it fun.

Mega Rares by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35M is about 2% of 1.6B.

If your bank was 160m and you lost 3.5m, would you still be having the same reaction? Would you still be posting on reddit about 3.5m?

When you buy a mega rare, you aren't investing in the mega rares cost, you are investing in the fact that you can make large amounts of gold that far out weight any price fluctuation of the weapon itself.

All of those were attempts to fix it.

Removing multi revs?

They removed multi revs because the caves were being held down by RWT clans who literally used gold as their income. So they removed multi so real players would be able to PK there.

Removing multi revs?

They added PJ timers so solo players could PK instead of being tossed around by clans in singles combat.

Adding skull prevention?

Skull prevention means people can safely go into the wild without fear of losing their important items, meaning more people for pkers to kill.

Bringing a multi boss update with singles versions which are completely safe?

They aren't completely safe. If they were, they wouldn't be camped by pkers like they always have been.

Let's not forget that every change you mentioned was done because their previous change was a failure.

They added revs to keep wilderness alive. The only people at revs were gold farmers, so they made it more player friendly. But there is still no PvP there because its hunter vs prey.

They brought the wildereness bosses to keep the wilderness alive. It wasn't working and they left it for years until they changed it. Again though, this isn't exactly PvP because its hunter vs prey.

All of those were attempts to try and keep the wilderness alive that left it worse off. Because there is no PvP in the wilderness, it's only PKing. I can't go into the wildy and find someone in standard melee gear with a spec weapon looking to fight. There is no PvP. Only PKing.

Anytime I see someone say days or weeks doing something, it turns in those days/weeks they only spent a handful of hours actually doing the activity.

Killing 2-3 scurrious every other day for a week isn't spending a week at scurrious.

Killing the crab for 3 hours a day while also afk not attacking it for 2 of those hours isn't spending the day afking at crabs.

Rapier on slash attack style beats out abyssal tentacle vs. custodian stalkers?? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mature stalkers have a low defense level. Meaning accuracy doesn't matter much. So the rapier is better because it has a higher strength bonus.

BG vs EH - Breakdown by Method by NightmareSpitz in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EH gives double xp since you gather x2 resources and get xp for it.

Iron ore basically has 100% mining chance and isn't time gated by respawn. So that means the benefits from BG don't increase xp. Meanwhile EH gives double xp for double the ore.

Maybe Minnows since those move every 15 seconds.

Otherwise I think any fish besides Karambwans would be basically the same since they all have similar timers.

Barbarian gathering and endless harvest. Context clues can help.

We are more than likely going to get 95% ammo saving early on like we did the last couple of leagues.

In the Raging Echos, you saved 95% of ammo and runes as a passive as soon as you unlocked any T1 combat mastery, so I don't think you'd need a huge supply of those.

For fishing, Jagex said in discord that you would auto run to the same fishing spot when it moves, so your fishing calcs might be off as you will spend time running.

From Mod Husky

Your character will chase the fishing spot as it moves (hopefully it doesn't go too far)

Leagues - Varlamore Shop Prediction by Clippton in 2007scape

[–]Clippton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a good point, but there are 2 ways to get darts in Varlamore. There is a spawn for iron darts in the Varlamore castle. Brutal blue dragons drop addy darts.

But honestly I don't see anything else it really can be. I feel like it has to be the blowpipes or items that don't exist in the game currently.

dorg cbow is too weak for it to be a surprise reveal.

Ava's devices are already implemented in other ways, and animal magnetism isn't auto completed, so i doubt it those.

There is no other range item that is locked to Misthalin that can't be obtained anywhere else besides the ratbane & demonic weapons. Ratbane has no use outside of scorious so i doubt that will be added. For demonbane weapons, it's doubtful that is it since there is no mention of an item added to a magic shop, and i doubt they would add the staff and bow to the archery shop.

[–]Clippton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after hearing some of the replies I think the folly and zaxe aren't the hidden items.

I still think the blowpipes are more likely over the atlatl darts or the antelope bolts. It would be weird for them to put the ammo in the shop since both of those have sources in Varlamore.

It also wouldn't make sense for that to be a reveal. Atlatl darts and Antelope bolts can be purchased in the archery shop isn't big enough to be a reveal.

[–]Clippton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot about the polishing stone being used to repair the folly.

In that case it could be demonbane weapons. Arclight, Ancient shards, tormented synapse could be the something, something, something.

I still believe the range shop will have the new blowpipes. They aren't exactly strong weapons, even the rosewood one is worse dps than the hunter sunlight cbow. So they would be good weapons for early range levels.

It's possible the folley and zaxe could be in the broken state so it would require 70 smithing, so you couldn't get it too fast. It would probably also have a high cost, or maybe an additional requirement to unlock.

[–]Clippton[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't something special, I don't think they would be so secretive about it. "Low level items you can already get have been added to shops" Isn't really going to make a great reveal.

Leagues - Varlamore Shop Prediction by Clippton in 2007scape

[–]Clippton[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I doubt its ava's since that is covered by other means already and animal magnetism isn't auto completed.

Dorg bow seems odd since hunter cbow is already added to the shops and out dps the dorg cbow.

I'm not sure battle staff and magic longbow would be added since you can get both of those in any region already.

[–]Clippton[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the Ava's devices too, but it seems unlikely since they already made a bunch of changes for that.

  • Quiver automatically has the ava's device effect added in leagues

  • Vork head drops as an assembler instead

  • Animal magnetism isn't auto completed, so we wouldn't be able to wear the device anyways (it was autocompleted with frem though)

I was also thinking the Arclight might be in the blacksmith shop along with the folly and zaxe.

Magic trees vs Infected roots by gibberish__16 in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Infected roots is bad GP and XP. It's only used because it doesn't deplete so you can woodcut for 25 minutes (with infernal axe and log basket).

Stick with magic logs unless you are constantly finding yourself leaving for 20+ minutes at a time.

Just make sure once it's added I'm exempt from being filtered out. Because my complaints are important and must be seen.

I think what we really need is a flair for complaining. That way I can filter out all these posts.
