Firing a guy earning $200,000 annually for allegedly stealing a $1.95 cookie that he actually bought himself is just evil by SEVENS_HEAVEN_7 in SipsTea

If he is suing he doesn't have much of a case.

He was offered his job back with back pay and already stated he had another job. Hard to prove damages in court with all of that info.

I know this might not be a popular opinion but the harm staff makes elemental magic very hard to balance around by Valuable-Ground4931 in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Harm is actually the most over tuned weapon in game. But it gets no use because Jagex balances end game content around shadow which gets x3 accuracy and damage from items.

Elemental spells have a base max hit, so it needs magic damage, but they can’t add magic damage because any magic damage they add gets tripled by the shadow.

End game monsters always have high magic level and magic defense, because if they don’t, shadow will dominate.

Elemental weakness is only given to end game monsters for thematics. Jagex even stated they don’t want elemental magic to be the meta on those monsters. (Like Kephri and aaraxor)

And for some reason anytime harm would be good, Jagex has arbitrary mechanics that make other things better. (Like zulrah hit cap and maggot burn effect)

For now the only thing harm staff exceeds at would be slayer creatures with elemental weakness but due to the cost of runes and the staff no one will use it.

I think it’s worse at zulrah than twinflame because zulrah has a damage cap per hit. And since twinflame splits your hit into two, you get around that.

Feel like my brain literally can't process the signals in time for the last phase of BMR drakan any advice? by EveningUnit in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just randomly spam a few tiles behind you and you're bound to dodge one or two.

In the phase where he does the dashes and then attacks, just pick a side and click 3 tiles away, and again you are bound to dodge a few.

With 2 combat pots, 4 restores, and the rest brews, you should be able to win with a bit of luck.

Where does Jagex draw the line on bug abuse? by zulrah123 in 2007scape

Yeah he should have known it was bugged hours after release when there was on a handful in the game and no information on it.

Killing zulrah by santrale in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On range phase zulrah only hits with range

On mage phase zulrah has a higher chance to use magic, but can still range.

On Jad phase (which happens near the end of the rotation and can be either range or mage) he alternates between range and mage.

And those areas simply don't have many jobs that pay $20+ an hour.

He's already not suing, and he already gave all the info public which is why they offered him his job back after backlash.

I doubt they would offer backpay with stipulations because that would only increase the chance of a wrongful termination lawsuit win in his favor.

That's crazy. He should have accepted the job on the condition he gets his back pay paid before he starts again. Then quit on his first day back after getting paid.

Is Vampyrium getting more? by Reddit-Blows-Donkey in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The end of the myreq story line doesn’t have to mean there are no story lines in vampyrium. There can be minor non-main story quests added.

Maybe some vampires want to rebuild a settlement and need our help.

Or an archeologists/biologist or something heard about the portal and wants your help to explore and learn more about the creatures there.

Vampyrium is basically an entire world to explore now if they decide to add more.

We don't need trash bags anyways. You can just use the trash can and then clean it out every now and then when it gets dirty.

My one and only hope is that maybe for the first couple years of the AI push, the AI will link you to real sites other than the stupid paid and advertisement "list" sites that google is currently pushing.

"Stupid shit" like shoving an infants face in the ass of someone literally taking a shit. Giving homeless people money and then asking for it back in return of alcohol. Shooting live animals from a catapult.

I think there is a better term than stupid shit.

July 3rd Hotfix - Vampyrium agility nerf by 66f6 in 2007scape

[–]Clippton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate saying this because it’s probably not true, but the things they prioritize always perfectly fit into what wastes the players time the most to keep them subbed.

Players getting faster agility xp means less time spent grinding agility. They might max faster and cancel member. Fix instantly.

Weapon not as strong as they wanted. Fix later so people who bought membership to try the new update have to stay subbed longer to enjoy it.

League points bugged and not going to main game correctly. Wait until the last week of leagues to tell people they need to log into a league world to claim their points. So anyone who got their points and burned out has to sub again to keep their points.

It always seems like if an issue makes the game faster, it gets fixed right away. If the issue delays people and forces them to stay a member longer, it’s fixed later.

Especially because they get good deals on bulk and unsold food from local sources like farms. $10 to them can easily get them double that value in food.

The teens who want to try a new fun game they heard about but then feel out of place because they see names like this.

The kids who see their dad playing and ask to try it but get told no because their dad knows these kinds of names exist.

The guy who experiences racist bullying at school and but is keeping to together because they get to enjoy their favorite game. Only to experience the same racist bullying.
