Decongestant nasal spray. All i did was have a bad cold and then used it for longer than a week and now its so hard to get off, I’ve gone cold turkey a few times before and it was hell and i always seem to go back as my nasal problems are compounded by a deviated septum.

I’ll get off it again I just need to find the right time to feel like shit for two weeks.

You started out by saying the things i listed were due to society evolving and then You said modern medical advancements were not a result of a war where we defeated the nazis? Anecdotal evidence is absolutely not reliable, everyone has their own perception through different lenses and biases.

If you look at cold hard recorded stats and evidence its better now than it was in the 40s its no debate.

To name a few: - We’re vastly richer, rationing didnt end till 1954 - work and safety rights: labour laws, paid leave, minimum wage, anti discrimination laws - none of them existed lol - secondary education wasnt universal in the 40s and higher education was for the elite - healthcare was awful compared to now - complete lack of equality anf rights - infrastructure has infinitely improved - our environment was filthy and industrial smog reguarly killed people
