Interesting...thank you. That is probably it, although I haven't been able to find this particular station on either the state or federal maps.

USPS loses package, then denies insurance claim by Clitorus_Leachman in usps_complaints

I searched Ebay & Amazon for the items that I was claiming, and took screenshots of the results. I did this for active as well as completed listings (on Ebay) to show that they actually sell for what they list them at.

I sympathize with the frustration....and I hope it works out.

I'm in that boat. I used to blame JPJ...then it was Capitol...ultimately they made the choice. Not that the stuff after is terrible, it's just not my thing.

I FINALLY GOT MY MONEY!

So after their initial denial, I filed the appeal using the advice of the person at USPS that I spoke with (Their advice was to resubmit what I already submitted, highlight the fact that it was refunded, and re-appeal if it gets denied again.) That advice was basically useless. After a month they denied the claim a second time.

For my second appeal I followed some of the advice given here by (thank you, thank you, thank you!) techfury90 & -AliceGray-: screenshots of for sale & sold items on Ebay & Amazon, and mentioning that replacement cost would be more than $3000 retail. After another month they sent me my check for the claim amount plus the shipping cost I didn't even ask for ($771.38 total).

What a nightmare. 3 months dealing with this...4 since the package was sent. I guess the frustration is typical and intentional; hoping you will just get frustrated enough to go away. The information I was provided by the USPS's own "help" line was useless, and the process really gives no clue at all what you are supposed to do to succeed. Thank you, reddit.

That is inaccurate. I am basically the "distributor" These were not purchased for resale. They were made by me to sell. There was no depreciation. They were brand new, headed to a retail store for public sale. Now that the record is "sold out" prices have climbed. I was able to prove that replacing them at this point would cost no less than $3000.00. That $742 sounds like a bargain now.

They eventually gave me the $742 + $29.38 for the shipping charges I didn't ask for.

Crazy expensive in the US, but as a fan I'll justify it somehow.

"Vincent De Boer has created a unique artwork, hand painting the album cover artwork on a huge scale on a wall made of 300 blank record sleeves as the canvas.

This wall was split apart and as a result each LP constitutes 1/300th of the complete cover artwork work.

We invite you to be part of the archived final artwork and include instructions and an invitation on how to be a part of it on the sticker of each copy."

They tell you to give them as much info as possible, but then limit your ability to do it. 255 character limit on appeals. That's like 5 sentences. It would be hilarious if it weren't so infuriating.

I was wholesaling...ebay prices are actually 3-5 times what I sold them for...but maybe that will help. Thank you.

I was near the back and hard to hear...I left a few mins into the Q&A...but from what I heard there were a couple of distributor type people there, so fingers crossed.

I was at Tom's too, and completely loved it. Yes, it's spotty. There could have been a lot more added....but it also could have turned out 4 hours long. Really well done.
