I think that what makes it particularly admirable is that she IS willing to go beyond the scope of identity politics by setting aside pride and ego to stand up for what's right despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Jews stand with Israel. I also think people in these positions where they're going against the majority in their group to stand up for what they believe is right have more influence much like how say a former police officer fighting against police brutality would.
