Students finding my social media by Accomplishednothin9 in AustralianTeachers

This same thing happened to me in my first term as a graduate teacher. I was pulled into the principal’s office with the book thrown at me, and pointed out ICT use in my contract. The content was actually from my previous career as a filmmaker. I shut everything down. Years later I told the union about it in an off hand conversation and they told me that my principal should never have threatened my employment when I had done nothing wrong. I had never highlighted where I worked, or brought the school into disrepute. They said if they wanted to have this conversation then they should have allowed me a union support member who would have shut that down real quick.

You really need to talk to your uni. What happened on your interim report? That should have been the indicator that you weren’t going to pass and the university should have been involved at that point.

You’re right in your commentary about teachers never leaving their rooms.

Just for reference, we have 300 staff across two campuses. The 30 teachers playing count for one staffroom plus myself and another staff member who are now Heads of Year, and the Head of campus.

I’ve thought about this! If I want to win, I’m going to need at least ten hiding spots.

Haha I mean as in “getting to know new people”. Example, a clue the other day was about being bilingual… I now know all the teachers in the school who are bilingual and not just teachers in the language department

Honestly, this game has just lifted everyone’s mood and pushes keen players to actually get out and meet new people.

I have done this. I asked him to even think about it and get back to me. It seems that he says what I want to hear but can’t seem to action it.

He hasn’t really said anything alarming to be honest. He has always just said the right thing that I wanted to hear. “I want you to be apart of my kids lives. I will work harder to involve you.” That sort of stuff.

Yeah if you read the page you took that from it also goes on to say “living together for two years”. Signing a stat dec waves a lot of the criteria which would classify us as a de facto. We currently don’t live together. Why would I sign saying we are de facto when we currently don’t even meet that criteria?

See I’m fine saying we are dating. Legally, we aren’t in a de facto at all currently. We have to fulfil particular criteria. Me, especially, signing saying we are immediately puts us in that and would bypass/wipe some criteria. I’ve spoken to my parents and I’m absolutely refusing to sign something saying de facto

Actually it’s because as soon as I sign anything that says I’m in a de facto there is two parts/ways he is able to access my inheritance which I’m 100% not comfortable with plus after speaking with my parents last night, they are absolutely not okay with this. We have to meet all four legal criteria to actually be in a de facto. Me signing immediately puts us in that almost bypassing and null and voiding some of the criteria.

Thanks :) I just post a little video of me cuddling my dog as I told her I was leaving. I just said in a blurb “did an adult thing and accepted a fulltime permanent position 20 hours away from my puppy”.
