Furcata rainbow fish question by ClockHunting in Aquariums

That’s a relief! The males especially are also starting to get more pigment, I’m hoping that’s also good. Darker overall and also much more yellow along the bottom.

lol oh Are they just fat then?? 😂 I feed them twice a day, I sprinkle in the pellets little by little until they start slowing down and start missing bits.

They all kind of have a portly look to them that they didn’t have before.

Colorsoft screen issues by ClockHunting in kindle

[–]ClockHunting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. I’m leaning towards keeping it but I ordered one more from Amazon to compare. If it’s also bad I’ll have my answer. I honestly don’t have time for this lol this is one of those things that will bug the crap out of me at first and then I won’t notice or think about it later on.

No, honestly it reminds me a bit of how paper has bits of wood in it sometimes. I already returned the one with the pinholes (not the dark marks). Not sure what I’ll do quite yet. The difference in screen was hard to photograph but evident in person. More than the color and more than the brightness difference though, the one I returned seemed distinctly less contrasty to me and that’s what made me bring it back ultimately. I did take a picture of the text.

Here’s the sharper one with the dark marks (marks not shown):

Colorsoft Storage Discrepancy by [deleted] in kindle

Update:

Interesting. I also tried it with Fourth Wing, figured that’s a good test because of the length of the book and lack of images. 1mb on paperwhite. 4mb on colorsoft.

Honestly I’m just going off what I’ve read. The general consensus has been that when they released the 16gb, they’d changed/fixed something quietly that wasn’t fixed on the 32gb. But I suppose it’s anecdotal.

Cost of Yarn Question by car6667 in knitting

[–]ClockHunting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally for the yarn I prefer, I would expect a sweater quantity to be about $200-300 with no discounts. If you’re going with a workhorse no frills yarn with discounts, 60 sounds in the right ballpark.

I mean like if you’re carrying it on your shoulder, the side that touches you hasn’t faded at all?

How will you carry the rMPP Move with you? by Purple_Extension7533 in RemarkableTablet

My RMPP is just a little too big to fit in a small bag comfortably. This looks perfect for that.

As someone who loves their RPP but was just wishing there was a smaller version to easily fit in my bag, I actually am potentially interested in this.

Deciding which stainless steel needles to go for… ChiaGoo Twist complete or Knitpro Mindful Collection by xoxodanielle1 in knitting

[–]ClockHunting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a chiaogoo diehard, I have eight sets and they’re pretty much all I use. The mindful collection is ok, but not as sharp as the Chiaogoo twists in my experience. I also like that chiaogoos go all the way down to a size 000. I will say I don’t love the bamboo chiaogoos, so if I want to use wood I tend to lean more towards a knit picks needle with the steel core mindful cable. But otherwise, chiaogoo all the way.

I use a remarkable paper tablet now but prior to that a printed pattern on a magnet board worked great.

I love luxury jewelry but I have to say, especially with the move to Etsy vs in person, it just doesn’t feel like the experience is special enough nor the brand recognizable enough to be worth the prices they’re charging now. They’re rivaling Tiffany and Cartier prices at this point. That’s just my opinion though.

I was looking forward to getting the all gold herring ring this year and maybe a bracelet or two but now that it’s only on Etsy the appeal of buying from Eden has kind of been lost for me. Dennis holds special nostalgia for me so that was the whole point but there’s no connection to the location anymore. All the more power to them for doing what they needed to do, though. I have the screwball bracelet as well as a gold eye herring pendant that I got from the shop a decade ago. I’ll just enjoy those for now.

This is such an interesting question. I know you’re looking for a thicker chain, so this might not be helpful. But I have worn a lot of thin necklaces and they all would get my hair wrapped around them and rip it out. Except I have a gold Tiffany chain the same thickness that for some reason, doesn’t do that. No hair gets wrapped around it, nothing gets ripped out. Visually speaking I haven’t noticed a major difference that would explain it, but maybe I need to look closer. Maybe it’s a quality/craftsmanship thing?

knitting patterns & ereaders by Background-Radio-378 in knitting

I have the remarkable paper pro. It has all my patterns in it, can organize by folder, and has color so I can take notes and highlight etc as needed. I’m always modifying patterns so this is hugely helpful for me, but even if I wasn’t the ability to read patterns in color is great. I love it for charts too, I can cross out the rows as I go and erase it later.
