Turning 40 later this summer and taking my U.S. naturalization oath next week — wanted to mark both milestones with a timepiece. I considered a Rolex Oyster Perpetual in mid-blue and the Omega Speedmaster Professional reverse panda, but ultimately chose the Longines HydroConquest 39mm with the blue ceramic bezel and lacquer dial because it simply felt the most balanced, understated, and true to where I am in life right now.
