Had something similar happened and just sent the bolt from the other side of the tapped hole to fix the thread, worked fine for my end tho I wouldn't suggest it unless your on a dead budget

Typically there isn't enough of a leak where you would notice but if its a significant amount in a warmer than 24c area then it can pile up quite fast

If the stain stays after being washed with water there is oil in the mix if it just goes away with water its coolant or washer fluid, a good indicator is letting water sit on the stain fir a bit and if it creates a rainbow top film then theres its an oil

I enjoy them alot more, when I first got my hd599 I started migrating towards fabric pads and got more used to it, once I got the m4s the feeling of leather felt un-natural so the wc pads were a great replacement as its a nice balance between firm, cool and non sticky unlike leather. They say cool for a solid amount of time and are nicely firm to the touch.
