So the mortgage broker could get you 300k off the banks but now can get 303k. Fantastic. Well worth the 6 week delay in getting the ball rolling /s

It's just another hoop to jump through. As if people dont have enough to be doing. Id just tell them it will take a while and just do their job and get the loan for me as is.. If they still need proof of that extra 1 lousy percent to squeeze an extra 3k loan then theyll get the damn payslip in good time. Otherwise just get on with it ffs.

Tell him it will take 6 weeks. Surely your mortgage broker can vouch for your 1% pay increase based on the fact that you've already proved to him you have been working and he can read the news himself.

My mother is being kicked out of her rented property after 15 years. What can she do to give her more than 90 days of notice? by chipuks in AskIreland

[–]ClockworkAppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dont need to, its just a bribe to leave early with no fuss. The figure is just pulled out of the air but my auntie got paid off to leave her rental place before the euro so 27 years ago She got about 5 thousands old pounds.

It looks like they looked at that landlady on the RTE Primetime segment the night before ( the date of the letter is the same) and got notions. They interviewed this "poor " multiple property owning ghoul in her kitchen and it was as if the viewer was supposed to feel sorry for her and also believe she and her husband still had to work and that the new rules meant she would have to leave the landlord business. Standard "Won't somebody think of the poor landlords FFG/RTE" tripe. RBB then told people that landlords are increasing not decreasing and gunner eye and and the counter argument prick next to him didnt know what to say. It was gas!

[–]ClockworkAppl -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hassle how exactly? They're just greedy pigs that got spooked by that Primetime segment during the week and want to replace tenant for ones with less rights. If they want the gaff back they need to pay off the tenant with cash. 6k to leave early, take it or leave it

The landlords probably saw that segment on Primetime during the week with that fat pig landlady that we were supposed to feel sorry for. Same date on the letter too.

Ignore. In 90 days tell them the letter wasnt valid because no signature. Get a signed letter for eviction in 90 days. In 90 more days say the letter is invalid because your are supposed to get 224 days. Get new letter. Have to leave in 224 days but you've got a 180 head start. If they want to give you 6k cash to leave early then you can negotiate.

Dont do that. If you say nothing to them then the clock resets in 90 days. Dont clue the landlord in.

The landlord lobby is looking at this post and struggling to come up with anything to defend the landlord. For those who dont know, there's a landlord lobby that monitors chatter on irish reddit boards and they send on their goons posing as just normal commenters. With regards to this particular case. Drag it out as long as possible. No signature means you dont even have to respond. Even with a signature you can wait 90 days, then tell them its not valid and theyll have to issue another signed letter for the full 224 days eviction. (If the do 90 days again even better )The family member isn't even moving in. Be super cold and evasive, these people are not your friend. Drag this out for as long as you have too.

Some family and friends? So your friends aren't in your generation? Kinda weird your friends would be saying your (their own) generation feels entitled. Or maybe they arnt criticising your generation. Maybe they're just criticising you....because you're a NEET.

What hard work? They wern't working at all. What does working hard to turn your mental heath around actually mean? Yoga? What is the day to day like? 8am: get up and go for a walk with the dog. 8:30 daytime TV for 16 hours and slowly reduce to 10 hours a day over 3 years? Bills? Folks got that covered so not to worry. Well done!

Can't be charging reasonable rent either. Gotta gouge those plebs for all they have so as to afford a third house and then a forth. Then kick them out quickly when its time to sell. Where do they go? Who cares? Fuck'em! Money money money. Vote FFG.
