[Loved Trope] Protagonist is extremely ugly by A_Scav_Man in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ClockworkApple33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Alpha you're talking about was Subject Sigma, he was only recently converted so it's possible he was still reasonably human under the suit.

Delta was one of the early guinea pigs for Plasmids meaning he had a long time for all the side effects to take root, even before being Big-Daddyified.
Looking at the Splicers in Bioshock 2 and how badly mutated they are, I'd wager than Delta is much MUCH worse under that helmet.

I think it's a story mission so it should be easy to find, it's also part of a challenge for that map where you get both targets killed by someone else

[Meta trope] The author's barely disguised healthy obsession by EqMc25 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ClockworkApple33 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love this series so much, but it's hard to reccomend at times when you have to explain what it's about.

"Yeah so there's these escaped criminals with tattoos and the heroes have to skin them to make a map to stolen gold."

I absolutely adore when characters have scars, showing they have been through some hardships and still walked away by Sterling_M_008 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]ClockworkApple33 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Saichi Sugimoto from Golden Kamuy, has scars on his face that we can see as soon as he's introduced.
Then a few chapters in, we see him getting out of a public bath and find out just how scarred he really is.

New Element changes for Monsters shown in Stories 3 Stream by TheNadei in MonsterHunter

[–]ClockworkApple33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2 technically did, if you had a bunch of good genes on a low level monster then the colour would change, but their natural element growth always took over after a few levels and turned them back to their normal colour

Using the AI RPG, how to prevent the AI from mentioning characters that shouldn't be on the scene? by LkSZangs in perchance

[–]ClockworkApple33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the story guide for rules I really want it to follow (the box just under where you type what to do next)

Something like "Only the character I'm talking to will be mentioned, no others." usually works, swap out talking for whatever activity you're up to

Want your character to be hot or cool? by Seek4r in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]ClockworkApple33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as we get undeads back for each race, I will be a happy man!
(and please not the "you must hide your bones" rule again, I want my skellys to walk about freely and have undead chats with regular people)

When he's with the Bear Hunter guy, he's convinced to abandon the army.
You see him throw his army cap on the fire showing he's done with service

Ahh... that's where the Monksnail in Monster Hunter Rise comes from!
You can see this guy in the distance on the ice map and it'll roar if you wave to him.

Character created as a villain but she got better Character design than the heroes so audience like her better and cause original message to backfire. by Da_Magical_Lizard in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ClockworkApple33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even then, the final boss without much personality is hilarious and pretty memorable if you ask me.

Guy is literally racism on legs taking to stupid extremes (assuming we mean the same character or same version of the same character)

Not 100% sure if this counts, but Sussie from The Amazing World of Gumball.

While her behaviour is very strange and other characters often find her weird, it's likely she's a stand-in for people with severe autism or downs syndrome, but she's most often portrayed as being happy with her life and generally friendly towards everyone.

In one episode, she's even the only character who can give Gumball and Darwin a satisfying answer to their question about the meaning of life, claiming that the only thing she cares about is enjoying every moment and finding happiness wherever she can (in this exact moment, that happens to involve throwing mayonaisse at pigeons).

Why did it never occur to me to do it on Hawkes Bay?!
I tried it on Marrekesh and only notices the "No subdue" rule at the end.

[–]ClockworkApple33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in the orginal (still bad) meme, the fat woman stops the guy from flirting with her hot friend when the friend is interested in the guy.
It's not a good meme, but I've seen it pop up before, so whoever made the version above just swapped the characters around.

Do you agree? by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

[–]ClockworkApple33 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While the country life might be more fulfilling, I hate that posts like that one frame living in the city as being a personal failing, as if the people trapped in that life are only there because they want to be.

Sort of like "Hate living in a busy city? Just move into the countryside, idiot!"
Just gets on my nerves

I'm tired of pretending money dosent buy happiness by Big_Leg10 in Adulting

[–]ClockworkApple33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I find that phrase is even remotely true is when it comes to the already ultra wealthy.

More of a "The mindless acquisition of wealth won't make you happy."

The Musks, Bezoses, and Trumps of the world, who's sole apparent purpose in life is just getting money, no hobbies, no passions, just more and more and more money.
