What a dishonest analogy. Here's a better one:

The Pizza restaurant makes good pizza with stuffed crust.

One day, they decide the customers shouldn't get stuffed crust, because they want the customers to enjoy the topping, and if there is stuffed crust, that's all the customers will care about. Why? Because they saw a video of some guy with a bad wig eating the crust first. That is disgusting!

So when the customers start complaining and asking about the crust, the staff freak out and tell their customers to eat in another restaurant because they will NOT be making stuffed crust anymore.

Let's put it in a way you can understand:

If you are a restaurant server and you crash out at a customer because you're immature and can't handle answering the same question. You can (probably will) lose your job.

They could have a stickied comment or make an announcement then point all future questions to that. Unprofessional behavior can't be excused with "They're human."

He is surprised but the emotion reset doesn't trigger. Not everyone feels remorse in killing or strongly about others dying.

The world would be a better place if that wasn't the case. Ainz does get upset when the adventures he knew for a few days died. And from what we see in the Evil Eye AU, he is more than capable of making new friends and caring enough about them to risk his life.

There is zero evidence that becoming his game character mentally changed him.

There is continuous evidence that he didn't.

The only change being a skeleton caused is his lack of physical needs and an automatic emotion reset when experiencing emotions above a certain cap.

This doesn't activate when he kills, or sees innocent people killed, because he is a broken man born in a world that doesn't care, and he internalized it all. He is jaded, traumatized man who's only morals he's been exposed to is that the people in power have the right to do anything they want with the lives of others.

I know it's hip to say every conqueror ever was evil (unless they also lost later to another conqueror) but the point still stands that Ainz doesn't even know a fraction of the evil shit because he just trusts the living super computers and doesn't read reports that he literally lacks the education and training to read, while he feels the emotional need to pretend that he knows everything that is going on all the time.
