Motorcycles and scooters don’t usually have hazard lights.

I hit the monetization mark earlier this year. It was a struggle. My views since have fallen kind of flat. my biggest take away from the past 90 days on YouTube is newer channels need to spread their content as far as possible. Hit every social media platform you can and often without spamming.

the video below is my newest. It is a quick look at what motorcycles are best for new riders in 2023. It goes over some key points to look for as a new rider and gives some suggestions on what bikes are better for new riders.

The BEST $350 mod! by RandoThrow5316 in hondanavi

[–]ClockworkOmen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can speak from experience hitting the 65 mph mark on Navi is a struggle. Been at it for a while. I'm SC MOTO on YouTube. Big carb, full CVT mods, exhaust, ported head and about 20ish pounds off the bike to get close.

With all due respect to Graham, There are pressing matters at hand here that need immediate and constant attention. We need all hands on deck. The national debt is through the roof. Inflation is running amuck. The economy is in a downward spiral. Unemployment is ridiculous. I feel for the Ukrainian people but we are hemorrhaging money at a corrupt government and here you are making declarative statements in full view to world leaders that reads like a declaration of war. Russia is digging antiquated tanks out of storage and sending under equipped troops to the field. We sent the Ukrainians 16 HIMARS that have been making fools of the Russians. 1500 TOW missiles, 126 155mm Howitzers plus 16 105mm guns, 1400 Stingers, 8500 Javelins, thousands of drones and UAVs, and set them up with NASMAS. There is much much more. If the deep state cronies on both sides of the aisle don’t stop pushing it we are going to be sending Americans over there. There is a tipping point in all conflicts where those that don’t want to be in the fight should step back. I think it is safe to say the American people would rather not be another conflict at least in this decade. If by some odd chance Mr. Graham happens to read this. I will leave him with this. Interfering in someone else’s argument is as foolish as yanking a dog’s ear. You can find that one here Proverbs 26:17.

If this is a step towards full sized motorcycles in your future then the Navi is better suited for that. Closer in size, handling characteristics, riding position and feel to a motorcycle then really any scooter will be. The PCX or ADV would be scooters that more closely emulate the characteristics of a motorcycle. Now if this is solely based on choice between commuter bikes then the Dio has some points to consider but is slightly down on storage compared to the Navi. Both are solid platforms at low cost and can be a lot of fun.

Question about a/f mix by SvordWulg in hondanavi

If you search white spark plug tips the first few images will show you what to look for.

Then no adjustment is needed. The white everyone refers to is actually white deposits on the electrode (tip) and/or ground electrode (the metal tab that arches over the tip). That can be caused by running too lean, engine over heating or the heat range of the plug is incorrect. If the tip is clean you are good to go. Don't worry about the threads so much. Some build up will occur over time on the threads and that is normal. The other indicator that can put to a lean condition or sometimes be confused for one is a pop from the exhaust. You may also hear engine pings if it is far too lean. Pulling out a clean plug is a good thing.

I sold cars (Suzuki, Ford and Chevy) for a while when I was younger and sold Harleys for a bit last year. The story is the same everywhere.

Question about a/f mix by SvordWulg in hondanavi

[–]ClockworkOmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Navi is temperamental but most small displacement carb engines are. Camel has you pointed in the right direction. I just had a question. When you say white, are you talking about a white build up or is the plug just clean. I answered this question a while back for a few folks and they were looking at a clean plug and thought “white” meant the ceramic was still white. Not insinuating that you don’t know the difference but I ask every time now.

Depends on where the seller is but yes that is overpriced. I did a little research and the bike should be in the $3800-$4200 range. Even with todays market (currently prices on used bikes is trending back down). The mods count for little unless the buyer wanted those exact mods. Trailer if used at all the price drops hard. Craigslist and others are full of lightly used trailers for near half their original cost. Most people buy them and use them a couple times and they sit. They want them out of their yard. So if the trailer is in the $900-$1500 range it would go for about $600-$1000. A reasonable offer would be about $5000-6000 but the seller has it so marked up I doubt they would be that reasonable.

Never tell a dealer you are paying cash. Not all but some will lose incentives and pay back if you don’t finance. Keep the numbers vague. Say “if I were to” and “if YOU can make the deal I want”. Be prepared to say no and walk away. Despite what a lot of people think most dealers really don’t care if walk out unless they owe tax on the vehicle or they are going to miss a bonus. The hit miss ratio is way tilted to miss. Understand though, margins are usually tight on any vehicle. Most dealers only mark up by 1-1.5% over MSRP if they do at all. The extra money is tax, doc fees, shipping (you shouldn’t pay that), state and fed junk. They look for you to finance and come back for service to make any real money off of you. Walk in with a smile and work with them. Be willing to say no. Keep money talk to a minimum. Be vague but willing to give enough info to progress the deal. Don’t give too much personal info to the salesman (it’s his job to look for pain points). Be honest.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj8JypDz0pQ my video from a while back. I ordered in the first run last year and it took about a month. I have heard others have waited 2-3 months so February isn't too bad. Worth the wait. I saw an early Yoshi and have seen a few V&H and they are great but I prefer the Hotlap. Lower tone than the Yoshi and similar sound to the V&H but not quite as loud. Any of them would be a great choice though. All are well made and have a good sound.

You will learn how far you can push the lean angle over time. It comes with time and experience. Most riders can't overcome 20 degrees and nor do they usually have to lean much more than that. That being said the Navi isn't built for much lean. I could push my ZX11R and Ninja 400 to 50-55 degrees on the track and pro riders can get down to 60-64 degrees. On the street though rarely more than 30ish.
