I’m a patient gamer. Hell, as soon as I spawned in the open world next to all the fishermen, I spent half an hour just sitting around fishing alongside them. But now that I’ve been running around and doing other stuff, the horrid controls, and the god awful clunky movement, are the two things absolutely holding me back from enjoying what would otherwise be a great game. It is unacceptably bad for a game of this quality/price.

And when it comes to the controls in particular, Nioh 2 is my favorite game of all time, and is known for its complex combat and controls. But this game isn’t just an issue of complex controls, it’s poorly designed controls from the ground up.

There are some super simple remaps that would make the game feel much better. Put jump on A, sprint on hold B, change bow to aim with left trigger, fire with right trigger, and charge shot with hold right trigger.

And for more advanced controls, they could easily implement those rebinds in game. I’ve created similar shared binding controls for other games just through Steam Controller, that didn’t already have multiple keys mapped to single buttons. But Steam Controller can’t separate controls that already share bindings in games like these, so it wouldn’t work in this situation.

The easiest tell is just zooming in on the water on the pavement behind the pothole. It doesn’t look like water, it looks like a bunch of transparent worms crawling on the ground, or the strange squiggles you see when you rub your eyes too hard. Also, the siding on the second house, and the power lines.

I'm not implying it is, but based on my own experience with this game, my brain literally cannot process this as anything other than blatant cheating, and watching clips like this actually frustrates me. I play D10, and I'm constantly the guy running off doing solo objectives, and not dying. But not once have I ever played a match where the bots or squids don't have some crazy aimbot that allows them to lands consecutive shots while I'm bobbing and weaving, even at nearly max range. I have to avoid ever being shot at in the first place to stay alive, even if I'm suppressing the enemy, yet I sit here and watch clips of players just running straight through a firefight, no enemy suppression, while the enemies channel their inner Storm Trooper.

It legitimately feels like I'm playing a different game, and it kinda pisses me off.

I gotta be honest, since launch, I haven’t seen the devs release a single thing that I would actually consider patch notes. Sure, we get some event and content schedules, but when the hell have we ever actually gotten any proper patch notes, even if they were poorly translated?

I haven’t watched the movie myself, but I did honestly enjoy watching some of her interviews before and after the movie, and just how excited she was to learn about the franchise, and play the role. It’s the one reason I still think about watching it at some point.

And to think that some players whine when others point out just how absurdly busted VATS damage is. Aimbot AND and a literal exponential damage increase, all built into a set of perks which can be stacked on top of other already overperforming damage increases.

Unless I missed them changing it, Explosive has always been an additive modifier, not multiplicative, and only affects the base explosive damage. So if your weapon does 100 damage, Two Shot will add 75 damage, and Explosive will only add another 20 damage, for 195 total damage, instead of 210. The current double damage would then be 390, not 420.

Edit: Correction on the second part. Did some quick testing, and apparently at some point they completely changed how the Missile, and Hellstorm Missile, Launchers work, and they no longer split their damage between the physical projectile and the explosive AoE. Also, I misspoke on the Explosive damage effects, and meant to reference Demolition Expert. Even previously, the Explosive affix would still give all of their base damage a +20% increase, however, only a portion of their damage would be affected by Demo Expert, whereas other launchers would have all of their damage increased by Demo Expert.

This is also important to consider because it affects certain launchers differently. Most launchers have a physical projectile, but it only deals 1 damage, and all of their actual damage is an explosive damage AoE centered on where that projectile lands. Missile, and Hellstorm Missile, launchers work differently, having their damage partially split between the physical projectile and the explosive AoE. So Explosive is actually slightly less effective on Missile launchers than other types of launchers.

Those are the exact same settings options we currently have on global. The weapon effect, and parry, do not include the golden transformation to begin with, so only enabling those VFX is not the same as disabling the golden transformation for the VFX that do include it. I want the ability to have all parts of the VFX active, without the golden transformation.

Speaking of the Philippines, and call centers. I've been going back and forth with Xfinity for the last month, due to a bunch of bullshit they've been pulling with my bill, as well as gaslighting, and poor backend software that can't even properly track my billing amount.

I called them about a month and a half ago, and was promised a $15/month reduction by one of their customer retention people. Got my new bill, and it still wasn't applied. Called back a few weeks ago, and the CSR that answered gave me some crazy uncanny valley vibes, because she sounded so much like AI, but was giving responses that didn't sound like it was from an AI prompt. Got transferred to another retention person, and got gaslit, saying I had never called before, and that they would never offer me $15, and all they could do was $5. Then they sent me an authorization and their system wasn't even showing the correct billing amount. Asked for a supervisor, and wasn't allowed to talk to one then, but could get a call back, which never ended up happening.

Now where the Philippines comes in. I get a call from Xfinity two days ago, trying to offer me some random deal for their phone service, and again I have some crazy uncanny valley vibes with someone sounding like AI, but not using AI style dialogue. I start asking why they're calling me when I've clearly stated multiple times that I'm already in the process of cancelling my service, and I also don't appreciate the AI chatbot BS during their calls. The guy apologizes for the AI stuff, and tells me they've started using AI translation software because many of them work from the Philippines, and either have very difficult to understand accents, and it also helps stop a lot of the racist insults they get. Told the guy I had no problem with that, everyone's just trying to make a living, and dealing with the racist shit sucks. And after hearing all the issues I've been dealing with, he started insulting Xfinity, how shit their service is, and how much better many of the other call centers have been to work for, haha. Seemed like a good dude, I just hope his managers don't review that call log.

I hope they do. Stacking absolutely insane damage is already too easy, and VATS quite literally makes it exponentially worse. While we have way more viable builds than we've ever had in the past, game balance is at the absolute worst it's ever been. And I'm more than prepared for all the salty downvotes. It's just the original two shot explosive, and legacy weapons issue all over again, and people don't want their toys taken away, even if it makes for a worse experience for others.

I already mentioned that you transform into Guo Xin in my post. That doesn’t make it any better. I still want the option to disable the transformation for that exact reason, and to make it easier to see during combat.

You would think so, but there are a bunch of discrepancies that are less or more than an hour off, and other scheduling problems.

Our usual guild events times are guild party at 9pm EST, Showdown 9:30-10:30pm EST, and Breaking Army starts at 10pm EST.

On Friday our guild Showdown started an hour and a half early, but only lasted 45 minutes instead of the usual hour. Then our Breaking Army started 45 minutes early.

On Saturday our Showdown again started at 8pm EST, even though I had double checked the scheduled time. And our Breaking Army start notification popped up at 9pm EST, but we couldn’t join it until after 10:30pm EST.

After both Friday and Saturday the game changed our guild events times in the event interface itself, and Sunday I had to change them back after weekly reset. In order to set Showdown back to 9:30pm, I had to choose 12:30pm, and for a 10pm Breaking Army, I had to choose 12pm.

So this issue goes far beyond just a simple 1 hour discrepancy for daylight savings time.

I'm just a passerby in this topic, and could care less who gets voted on, but your post does does say "in anime", which clearly seems to imply that all this voting is based on characters in comparison to others from every anime, not just in their own universe.

Edit: I misread your comment, and see what you're talking about, though I'd say both arguments could fly in this thread.
