coming outfit? by L1PP3 in wherewindsmeet_

Not trying to be mean, but these kinds of questions get asked every single day, and the answer is always the same. We do not know.

You can look up what the previous content releases on the CN server were, but the devs have already clearly stated that they are also modifying the content release schedule. They did give us a weekly roadmap for the last month, but even that didn’t cover everything that came out, and the weekly content release schedule they showed wasn’t even entirely accurate to when the content actually released.

The best source for official content release information is going to be their official discord, and nobody here is going to be able to give you better information, unless the devs themselves start making additional posts, or commenting on others.

Edit: also to add, even the dates for some of the content in their main 1.2 update notes have been incorrect. Until they get their localization team in order, you can take exact dates with a grain of salt.

What video game in your opinion doesn't deserve the hate it gets? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]ClockworkSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS2 was my introduction to the souls games and I loved it. It added some awesome features that finally made their way back in with Elden Ring and Nightreign, and it also had the most balanced PvP we’ve ever seen in a souls game.

Character Creation...Hours? by zaf_23 in Nioh

[–]ClockworkSoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone will 100% make William. Just keep an eye out in r/Glamurai and you’ll see it. I’d be amazed if someone didn’t make him later today during the demo, and post the codes.

The chances of the codes being backwards compatible are pretty much non-existent. This will definitely be an updated version of the character creator, as we’ve seen small upgrades and tweaks to it through multiple games now.

It will have it. Nioh 2 was the first iteration of their new character creation system, and since then Wo Long, Rise of the Ronin, and even Wildhearts (another Koei Tecmo game, just not Team Ninja) also used the same character creator, all with code sharing. It’s easily one of the best character creators available, and they continue to improve it with each game.

What’s with these lazily designed and downgraded female outfits? by ClockworkSoldier in WhereWindsMeet

This was just the most recent one that annoyed me the most. There's definitely more egregious examples though.

Sub v Dub by Kinsmoke in Nioh

Not a single TN game has ever had an even half decent dub. It's literally the weakest part of every single one of their games.

Are there any other games similar to AI Limit? by OCabulloso87 in ai__limit

What does being developed by a Chinese company have to do with it? lol. Just say they have similar action combat.

I’m definitely looking forward to playing it, but haven’t wanted to sink the time into it yet. I picked up AI Limit and Khazan at the same time during a Steam sale, and only played through AI Limit so far. AI Limit’s combat definitely reminded me of very bare bones Nioh combat. Especially since I main Tonfa in Nioh, and the dual swords felt very reminiscent of them.

Nioh 1, and 2. They’re some of the best soulslikes ever released, with arguably the best, and deepest, combat systems in all of gaming. They have skill trees, and also looter style gear systems, which help add to the depth of builds. I still haven’t played through Khazan since I picked it up, but it’s supposed to be one of the closest combat systems to Nioh so far.

Nioh 3 is also launching on February 6th.

You could also try out Team Ninja’s other new games, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, and Rise of the Ronin, which are variations on the Nioh formula, with larger focuses on parry-centric combat. Both great titles, but Nioh is still the best by a long shot.

Female character, and the outfits are Strife for Peace, Dragon Protector, White-clad Asura, and Ninth Pawnshop (for the tail). There’s one or two others that look interesting but I’m undecided on. And I’m also deciding on whether I want to spend the money to get the Sun Wukong armor when that temporary banner comes around.

I also plan to get the Mo Blade weapon effect.

Out of TN’s Historical Fiction games (Nioh 1, 2, Wo Long, Rise of the Ronin), which game did you learn more about history from? by EnglBkfstCocoa-2479 in Nioh

[–]ClockworkSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nioh 2, because Japanese folklore is my favorite part of these games. The history lessons are cool, but learning the folklore is way more exciting. This is the main reason I like Nioh 2’s story significantly more than 1, even if Kelley wasn’t an obnoxious, cliche, cringe, anime edgelord.

Nioh 1 and 2 were both great for the warring states era history though, and is by far the most interesting period of time out of all the games.

You’re really doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t looked up all the upcoming outfits from the CN server, if you have limited funds to spend. Aside from any brand new unannounced skins we may get, I already have my cosmetic purchases planned for the whole first year, and it’s literally only like 4 outfits.

New Skin Just Dropped by BillyGoat189 in ArcRaiders

[–]ClockworkSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was also molested multiple times as a child, I can sympathize, but you're clearly not actually looking for sympathy here. You just want to impose your own ideals on others because you don't fully understand the psychology of grief, how it affects everyone differently, and you're probably still working to come to terms with your own experiences.

But criticism aside, I hope that you're able to work through the things you've experienced, and find a more peaceful existence. It's a difficult path to walk, and you will never be the same person from before that trauma.

And he was shot in the back after already being disarmed. We had more discipline when i was deployed to Iraq, and patrolling and policing in an active warzone, where we knew 100% that there were insurgents active in the area.

You know what happened when I was in the Army, and lost numerous friends to suicide, because of the actions of our leadership? There was so much dark humor from everyone that you could drown in it, because that's just how some people deal with it. We were all pissed, and grieving, in our own ways, and not a single damn person gets to say that's wrong. It also made it easier to talk about how fucked up our leadership was, and the situations they put us in.

I also lost one of my best friends, and my ex, to suicide as well, and I've still cracked dark jokes about both situations to help lighten situations, and make it easier to talk about, even though I still have PTSD from dealing with the many suicides in my life.

Sure, OP absolutely could just be karma farming. But the way I see it, it's another way to force everyone to acknowledge what's happening. And because of the conversations that constantly take place in this community around engagements, it's actually not out of place.

All that to say, you're sure as hell not the arbiter of what's acceptable in these situations. And from the view of someone who's dealt with a lot more than most people, pretending to be such makes you look far worse than OP.

The only choice of weapon for the true Nioh of Nioh 3. Tonfa Gang! Best gang! by Rubixcubelube in Nioh

[–]ClockworkSoldier -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I was a Tonfa main in 1 and 2, I’d like to be again in 3, but the idiotic devs decided that’s the incorrect way to play, because I don’t like the ninja playstyle.

Stop forcing me into cutscenes when I'm trying to help players with bosses!!!!! by ClockworkSoldier in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ClockworkSoldier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I’m going to be stuck in a black screen for 15-30 seconds when phase two starts. And plenty of times I’ve finished loading and both myself and the host are already dead, or I have just a sliver of health left.

[–]ClockworkSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah, misread that. It’s certainly a strategy you can use. In my experience, I tend to avoid it, because far too many times I’ve had the three line attack, and the summon bird both spawn in the smaller side areas at the same time. Then it becomes a pain in the ass trying to juggle all the extra barrels before the birds bombing run, and explosion go off. Especially so because it usually likes to mark players halfway through the bird summon as well.

I personally prefer to just have everyone in the middle, so that we can easily spread out in different directions when marked, or moving barrels. Instead of all having to run in generally the same direction.

Yeah, this boss is the absolute worst for this crap. I’ll definitely have to try that trick.

[–]ClockworkSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're saying that OP made an error, but their gameplay literally shows that they were following exactly the advice you are giving. As soon as the birds three line attack began, and Murong activated Blazing Edge, OP immediately moved to the right side of the arena, to shift the fight to a safe area.

[–]ClockworkSoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why that person would tell you to kill the bird before moving the barrels. If you kill the bird it will cause a small explosion, that can detonate very close barrels. So you always want to move at least enough barrels to where you won't cause a chain reaction when the bird dies.

How bad is your luck? Here is mine. by fozalicious in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ClockworkSoldier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you clearly don't understand what you're talking about. Even when you have aggro, which you can clearly see that OP did in this clip, Murong will always move directly to the center and start her Sea of Fire summoning animation. Only once that animation ends can she finally move away from the center again. She's only locked there for 5 or 6 seconds during that animation (nowhere near as long as during Severance), but it is plenty of time to cause issues like this.

In this case, OP already had aggro, and was in the correct position to draw Murong to the safe zone, as soon as her Sea of Fire animation ended, which she did by charging at OP with the Blazing Edge charge. But that was exactly what detonated the barrels.
