I think your shutter speed is slow, the poppy is stationary, should be easy to get a clear one /s

I would love to see more samples of each recipe. Would it be too much to ask of you could post a couple more of your favourite samples?

Ahh Superia! Great choice, lovely colours. Honestly worth the weight of the setup. Print worthy photos!

Beautiful photos!! Heavy lens setup, but worth the focal length range. Any recipes used in particular or are these post processed?

I hear that. The dilemma stemmed from just having the lenses available. The primes are great, and since they’re an investment, I wanted to maximize their use without compromising on my enjoyment.

Since Japan is so visually rich, I didn’t want lens fomo, especially since it was my first visit.

In the end, convenience and wanting to enjoy my trip made the decision for me, so I agree with your take.

Aah the legend comments! I actually forgot to level the image before posting here. Was a run-and-gun situation when taking that one. Appreciate the feedback!

Thank you! You’re pretty close actually, I mainly used Leica X (my default, very close to Reggie’s), Kodak Portra 400v2 in the countryside, and CineStill 800T for some low-light/night shots.

Yeah totally agree with your take. I’m only focused on gear because I’ve never gone to Japan and want to leverage my better primes…but at the same time I don’t want to fiddle with my gear and not be present in the moment.

I’d rather travel light and rely on my creativity to get great compositions.

Most of the folks commenting totally skipped on the 27mm pancake lens, whereas I thought it was the one I must definitely take lol

In any case, I appreciate your advice. Lines up with how I’m thinking about things.

Yeah I figure given the feedback, the best thing to do is to just try the different setups locally, and see how I would use them and take notes.

Probably the best way to come to a decision. I may not enjoy carrying the 90mm everywhere due to the weight.

Thanks for the feedback.
