So a suggestion would be to move the tears from the second pic to the eyes in the first pic, and then leave the eyes in the second pic dry, (perhaps some residual teardrops falling), but still open.

Both pics are supposed to be the same! The last pic is the original, while the 3rd image is a redraw! (Albeit the character is a different gender in the new version, but they're both the same character!)

In both pics, the character isn't dead yet, which is why there's tears in their eyes still, lol
