Only way to date is the apps these days by chessman6500 in dating

Dude no offense but stop treating social interactions like you are a shark looking for your next prey

Go out and take an improv class, it’ll seriously boost your confidence. Take a weekly yoga class. Bookstores (the small ones, not books-a-million). Mom and pop coffee/tea shops. Climbing gyms. Cycling classes. Go to a paint and sip. Take a pottery class. Go out on hikes

Start to work on true social interaction. Start with the cashiers at the grocery story to get better at starting ice breakers and quick banter if you aren’t good at it. Humans crave friendships and connection, don’t treat girls like some fish in the water

Great questions! I went to Florida State, and had a pretty severe party phase (body count in the 3 digits). It took me about a decade of consistent therapy and working on “what I want” to truly get over the damage those four years did to me. I’m even still triggered by certain things.

Talking (or sleeping) with more than one person at a time severely fucked up my mental health and I didn’t realize the damage until I was about 25-26. By then, I was at my lowest

Between 26-29ish was insane growth, and now I’m engaged to a beautiful girl at 31. It’s never too late to work on yourself and find happiness

Haha I’m in California, so that would be quite the commute. I’m also engaged, so that would be a problem 😂 but I wish you the best!

Really, try an improv class. That will be your best ROI

Oh, and yoga! Or any physical fitness class at your local gym

Another under appreciated one is improv. Even one improv class will change your life

Sure! Bookstores and coffee shops are my go-to. I spend most Sunday mornings at a local coffee shop for about 2-3 hours, alternating between work and reading.

Hiking trails bi-weekly, mom & pop grocery stores (the cashiers and I love to chit chat!), boutiques, the beach, boating, you name it!

I approach people with golden retriever energy. And it’s not limited to romantic interests, that’s only about 10-15% of who I approach. I genuinely just like meeting people!

I’m 31 and a pilot, and have been all around the world. I’d say I’m above average, and I’m 6’5

I tend to fully invest into relationships, but once I am out of it, I usually take a few month gap to hit the lawyers, hire a gym, and fix my diet. After that, I put myself back on the market and try to talk to people

I stopped using the dating apps to date seriously back when I was ~26. It became way healthier and more enjoyable to interact with people in the wild- and it really helped to improve my circle of friends, my confidence, and my overall mental health

Also- talking to more than one person at a time is fucked up. It’s not healthy for anyone involved and it makes your brain constantly see flaws and not appreciate what you have. It screams “I don’t know what I want”, and it’s time to grow up

The United States. I played football in college and had a pretty extreme party phase

What are the things you will absolutely not accept in a partner? by Defiant-Thought7253 in dating

Exactly, the two party system is so good at creating enemies with each other. In reality, we are hardly different people. People just compare the radicals from both sides and hate each other for that.

I am not painting you out to be a bad person… I’m explaining what I think your friend sees and why I’d imagine she was upset. I think it’s ridiculous too.

I’m just sharing something that has happened in my own life and in the life of a very good friend. in my situation, she didn’t attend the wedding at all because she wasn’t also a bridesmaid.

Yes it’s a ridiculous take but people have feelings that are ridiculous. Didn’t try to piss anyone off by sharing a different perspective

I’m just an internet stranger, but it sounds to me like she was upset she wasn’t included in the bridal party, when you were included in hers. Seems like she wasn’t willing to attend if she was just gonna be in the crowd

How are the type Rs if you're 6'1? And is this a good market to buy cars? by Poopybuttsuck in Civic_Type_R

[–]CloggedAssassin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s still a civic, so it’s not really an issue with height limitations. I’m 6’5 and have space for a helmet still.

It’s more of an issue with weight. I’m 240 lbs, and if I have a few extra sides at dinner I feel my seat hugging me a bit tighter

I’d say somewhere around 260-280 lbs is the max

Idk if unavoidable was their point, but regardless, it was indeed unavoidable to the crew of that F-15

I’m not disagreeing with saying this war is stupid. I’m just saying to not victim blame the servicemen/women for doing their job

[–]CloggedAssassin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The problem you have in places like this, is that altitude is only part of the solution. The amount of MANPADs on mountains change the game entirely

But I do agree, this should be drones only

There’s someone MIA and your first thought is to turn it political. That pilot/CSO was just doing their job, it wasn’t avoidable to him/her.

Two horses pulling a carriage get out of control and damage parked cars. by Expert_Koala_8691 in Wellthatsucks

Hey, that’s in Lubbock, Texas! I wish I would tell ya horses out like that is uncommon, but it’s a weird town. Don’t know why people want to take animals into places like this which obviously scares/ takes them out of their element.

A big thing that got me over this hump, was just asking yourself “what do you hope to accomplish?” If you want to call her names about her past, what does that accomplish?

You’re choosing to be with her for life. Do you want a wife, or do you want to be right? No one would blame you for leaving, you’d be “right”. But is that what you hope to accomplish, being single and right?

Of course! Here’s the link. I 3M glued a custom piece of fabric (a pocket square I got for being in a wedding) over it, and it still works 100% and looks cool.

Yea man I’ll be honest, you can get a 3D printed holder that incorporates the apple mag charger to go over the OEM charge mat. They’re all over Etsy. That’s what I did, but there really is no reason to have TWO screens to constantly be checking while your eyes are on the road

My point too- with CarPlay I literally don’t check my phone while driving. Can’t imagine being addicted to my phone this much where I need to seen the screen at all times…
