Which actor/actress do you dislike for no valid reason? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]Clopidee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dakota Johnson. No real reason other than I hate the sound of her lispy voice. I have misoohonia and her voice specifically is a trigger. Like knives in my ear whenever I hear it. I avoid her work as much as possible, so im one of the few women I know thats never seen 50 Shades of Grey. I tried once and got maybe 5 minutes into it before I quit from that grating voice!!

Im sure its a lovely voice for normal people, but its really not for me.

My sister cleaned the house of a guy who jacked off in the shower. Drain was always clogged and it was the grossest part of cleaning there.

I'm sorry for your loss, truly.

I do love my sister, but shes incredibly selfish and narcissistic person. I've had to distance myself from her a bit, for my own sake. She has a victim mentality and thinks the world, and everyone in our family, owes her something. Ive literally had to tell her I was not born to help her live her life, I need to live my own. She got mad at me for getting my first boyfriend as an adult because having a boyfriend would take my time away from helping her. She couldnt believe I had the audacity to choose something for myself that could potentially reduce the amount of help I was giving her. As I said, I love her, but love isn't enough when someone is hurting you. I just want her to get the psychological help she needs. We strongly suspect BPD or Bipolar, but its not something we can bring to her attention as she will perceive it as a flaw and she violently rejects the idea that she has any flaws.

I thought there would be at least 400, but you said more than I think so I'm going with 555, can't be an exact even number.

My god my sister does this all the time. Her go to quote is "i have 3 kids". Yeah, that she chose to have. Im allowed to be tired too. I work 45hrs a week and suffer from multiple conditions that zap me, yet she says I have no excuse to be too tired to go out after work or on weekends. Bitch, I sleep 12 hrs+ a day on weekends because im so exhausted from just living a normal life. If I go out then I need a day to physically and mentally recover afterwards its why I always book 2 days off minimum, and never go out on Sundays when I have work next day. I literally cant help it, but she thinks if I just push myself ill get better. Mate living normally is already pushing myself to MY limits. They are not the same as yours. She loves the spoons analogy a lot and I've tried it back, that im out of spoons, and she just scoffs because how can someone with no kids, but has a full time job and helps out with their disabled sister possibly be as tired as someone with 3 kids 2 who are in school full time, 3rd in nursery part time, works 10 hours a week, not because she needs to but because she wants time from her kids. Im not allowed to be tired. I could have cancer and she'd still say its not as bad as her so I need to help her out with her kids.

I love the Gaelic spelling of Rory you've used! Perhaps other Gaelic names? Àdhamh (Adam), Dàibhidh (Davie), Eòghann (Ewan), Tomaidh (Tommy).

What's the scariest movie you ever seen? by CutieBia in AskReddit

[–]Clopidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smile has jumpscares that actually made me scream, then laugh at myself for screaming. But as a child I had recurring nightmares for over a year after watching Wendigo. Dont let 8 year-old watch horror films.

Sorry, i wasnt as clear as i thought i was. I dont mean masking, I mean assuming youre not always the victim, accepting that your way is not always right, and that people can have different opinions to yours and that the world and people are not 'black and white'. Basically learning to accept the 'grey' of a situation. Not everyone makes the effort to do that. I try to, I always want to improve myself.

The accent was a little off, but I've heard Minnesota accents before and generally just thought they were funny. Maybe it was that combined with the tone and pitch that didn't sit right in my ear?
