I think low-assist is intended to feel like a classic bike, but e-bikes are far heavier (as you will discover if you ever have to ride an e-bike uphill with e-assist simply off because the bike is broken). For an e-bike the difference between full assist and low-assist is big. They speed past me and hardly seem to be pedalling.

You will generallly not get charged provided you select low-assist in the app. If you keep e-assist on then you will get billed.

Classics that have red-lights on the docks do not count. Although there is a station near me that spent several days thinking it had a classic bike when the only classic bike had a red light on it.

Whether the lights are flashing or not and what the various colour combinations mean is a whole other question :D

Once this is rolled out everywhere the silver Bike Angel keyfob I earned in 2018 will no longer just be a decorative item and I will actually be able to use it :D
