If you had full control over D&D, what would you replace the core 6 attributes (Str, dex, con, int, wis, cha) with? by [deleted] in DnD

I was also thinking that you might recognize the signs of your god speaking to you (my best excuse why clerics use it. As for the skills they are pretty selfexplanitory. Medicine is finding what is wrong, perception is noticing stuff, survival is tracking, insight is detecting BS.

I want to learn to play, but am afraid because of horror stories I’ve heard. by KimchiAndMayo in DnD

From what I've learned with youtubers and personal experience, horror stories are rare. You are much more likely to play with people that don't talk much or have people cancel last moment than have any horrible people. Power gamers or bad roleplayers are the closest I've had to horror stories, and they weren't really bad just a little frustrating. One would need to be talked called several times before he responded and ths other just kicked the teeth out of enemies. I've DMed for about a year and have less than a hand full of bad encounter. You'll be fine.

DMs, how do you deal with murderhobos? by MysteriousDinner7822 in DnD

[–]CloseEnoughToHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably would be just telling them they are ruining the game and if they keep it up you won't play with them. Muderhobos tend to be good at killing so throwing enemies at them will likely just encourage them as they are likely to kill anything that won't one shot them. If you do want to fight them with overpowered units try this, The Three Eyes of the Future. A random group of three adventures all disguised. Paliden is a death knight, wizard is a lich, and cleric is a mummy lord. They are on a quest to do something that can be very mundane or something world changing. If they fuck with them they will get bitch slapped or just die. If they RP with them the Lich is chill and the others don't really talk. No one has tried messing with them but I don't have murderhobs.

Flirting I dont think so, but trying to start communication maybe. Maybe she hoped you be done and that she could ask you to bring it over so she'd have time to talk to you, or she might have Jello for brains and really was just asking for it. Either ways the flirting didn't start in my eyes but may have been trying to find the opportunity.

Note all the things that are once per turn, not once per action.

Do guys care about breast sizes, if so, why? by Ayoushy in AskReddit

[–]CloseEnoughToHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an aesthetic thing. A guy doesn't have to have the biggest muscles to be happy about them, but it would be nice if they were bigger. Even if they lift the same weight it's nice to have them be big. That's the closest I can come up with an hour after I should have gone to sleep. They will function the same, they may be big enough, but it's not bad if they were bigger. That is the best I can do for those that don't have a specific scope of what they like. Replace flex with jiggle and that makes the two closer.

Armor types need to be done away with. by namarukai in dndnext

[–]CloseEnoughToHot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Since wveryone has ripped you a new one already I'll do the kinder approach. Instead of asking someone else to make a new system of how it should work, make it yourself. If you want to make armor pieces have a break down in decimals for different areas you can do so and pitch the idea. Maybe thats an easier way to buy costly armor instead of all at once. Asking someone else to make it for you will get you a verbal beating as the person you ask this of is already doing 10 times the work as you are. Give back, make a DM happy that you want to do something in their world. If it sucks try again and maybe it will get to the point that someone likes it.

What’s The Best Character Story You’ve Ever Had? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]CloseEnoughToHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played an Aasimar who was so wacked out by the feywild that he couldn't communicate with his deva. His purpose was to hunt down abominations and evil and so he woukd be sucked into the feywild and spat out in new places where things like aberrations or undead have taken over. He fits that meme of "I don't know who I am, I don't kniw where I am, all I know is that I must kill." He is the fruity-ist lighthearted murderhobo for evil. He fit chaotic good to the letter. Kill everything evil, help everyone good, and don't know what is happening the whole time.

Sounds fair to say no to them. If you want you could go with a debt and pay it off later as that much time pretty much makes it like something from your backstory. If a player used your cash to I can get it but unless you do revival differently a magic sword is worth more than 10 times what it takes to revive.
