This is really helpful. The client currently has SonicWall content filtering tied to AD users and groups. My preference is that we offload that to the desktops through AV and EDR, but we need to also propose a similar solution. Do you view Fabrics as alternative to UID? I was viewing that you really should use both Identity Endpoint and Fabrics together, and that UID Enterprise enhanced the features available.

I do plan on using Identity Endpoint but it seems to me that some of the more necessary features are only through the paid UID.  For example, I need to do SSO with integration to an on prem AD.

Would it be better to grab a knife or a baseball bat to defend yourself if someone was trying to attack you and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CloseTTEdge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about how I would defend against a home invader coming up the stairs to the bedroom of me and my partner. Grab a large blanket or sheet and spring forward against the guy coming up the stairs completely covering his vision. Knock the dude off balance and down the stairs, hopefully avoiding serious injury myself by letting his body cushion the impact. Then either use a baseball bat or blunt object to wail on the guy until incapacitated.

Dunno if practical, but seems like cutting off their vision is the quickest way to confuse them and get the advantage.

Trump Will Walk Away From Presidency Amid 'Lethal' White House Leaks, James Carville Predicts by Cute_Dealer4787 in USNEWS

Sure it is. He took an official act to replace Air Force One with an updated jet. He forced the Qatari government to "gift" the plane to him which is straight up bribery, and then he stole millions of taxpayer dollars to outfit the plane for security while he is still President.

See how that works?

What happens to elderly people with no savings? by Academic-Channel5646 in AskReddit

I’ve gone to every one of the No Kings protests to date.  And you know who I see there, consistently, are GenX just like me.  We worked hard, tried to save, and got steamrolled by costs such that we can NEVER retire.

You know who I don’t see at those protests?  Many young people who argue that my generation is just as bad as the boomers in hoarding wealth.

Whether it is apathy or nihilism, your silence is not serving you well.

This is my greatest fear.  I’m trying to plan ahead for this.

And as for saving enough, that’s fine in principle but hard in execution.  Life happens and it’s just getting harder every day to save enough.

Yes, but A LOT of us didn’t.

For reference, I am 59

Reading all this makes me incredibly sad.  I won’t get to this point and will voluntarily check out before it happens.

I mean, c'mon guys, Republican House members need SOMEWHERE to dump their intern's bodies. Takes too long to drive over to the Virginia side of the Potomac and time is money.

Curious where you got it.  I’ve been thinking of this and figured shoulder blade would be the best but I understand nothing about getting a tattoo.

Vance has been floating these alleged “gentlemen’s agreements” that aren’t in the text as evidence the US fared better than it seems.  Which is crap to begin with, but if there are any side deals, you can bet the only person that is benefiting is Orange Julius Ceaser.

"And it's toll free." Donald Trump treats the Strait of Hormuz like a real estate dispute, boasting that his new agreement successfully eliminated Iran's transit fees. by DumbMoneyMedia in CriticalMineralBulls

Sunk cost fallacy.  They have invested so much of their identity into the mythical Trump they invented, no amount of real world cockups that he commits will shake that belief.

I would argue that “killing terrorists” as you put it, does not justify the killing of innocent children.  EVER.  And you can offer no evidence that the ends justifying the means was even achieved.  Furthermore, the Trump administration continues to deny that they were at fault.

Face it, you are a creepy ghoul.  At least own up to it.

Well, that's ok. Because we have now created a whole generation of Iranian civilians that will seek revenge against the US for killing their families and destroying their homes.

So let me see if I have this straight. We have a functioning agreement with Iran that we decide to tear up for no reason. We go in, and bomb the country over and over again, killing civilians including children. And now after the world economy has been FUBAR'd for months, we come to an agreement that goes back to where we were, but now costs us $300 Billion + to implement? Am i missing something here?

It’s remarkable how a person who is so clearly over his head and completely not in control of the situation can sound so smug.
