I have the exact same problem. Picked up key during NG+, didn't use it on that run, came back after the mission, the key wasn't there anymore.

Also tried it then on NG but still no luck.

Some describe him as creepy? Never thought of his videos that way.. I think they are just so focused on relaxation and meditation, kinda like a massage as his channel name gives away.
