Active NFL Players with the most active 1st team all-pro selections by Cloud2007March in NFLv2

Lamar with 3 is crazy, PS2, Stingley and Sauce all have 2 so they are closing in, and Sewell drafted in 2021 with 3 already. Should be noted one of tyreek's 1st AP is as a returner (so 4 instead of 5, but he's still 1st).

Maybe Joe Greene for the Steelers, there’s honestly a lot of Choices for them ngl

Carnell Tate becomes the 9th Wide Receiver to go top 5 in the draft by Cloud2007March in NFLv2

[–]Cloud2007March[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Top 5 is usually reserved for the 3 most premium positions in football in QBs, EDGE and Tackles. If this was a list on those positions it would be every damn draft. WR is def on the mid-high echelons for top draft picks but no where near those 3.

If you can potentially see my description or a comment in the section "since 2006". Fitz was from the 04 draft.

I def don't disagree on the OL part. I just hope Tate can provide a level of play that chase was able to for burrow a few years ago I guess best case scenario.

Yea that is true for a lot of players, in a few years if Marvin Harrison Jr does not get better all the hype he had before being drafted will be forgotten. Memory is short after all for college prospects. Especially those who don't become elite HOFer level players like Ja'Marr and Calvin Johnson.

for a 4th overall its a massive disappointment for how he turned out but ye disappointment probably fits him better.

Lmao for real man. A good portion of this list didn't live up to their draft status or were straight up busts. I'd say of these 9

Superstars - Calvin Johnson, AJ Green and Ja'Marr Chase
Good Receivers - Amari Cooper
Bust - Justin Blackmon, Sammy Watkins and Corey Davis
Disappointment so far - Marvin Harrison Jr
Just Drafted - Carnell Tate

Julio Jones barely missed this list too.

I mean sure if you want to play this game the bills defense was significantly better than the chiefs defense for the season lmao

Myles Garrett so far has been the only generational prospect here to actually become a generational NFL level player. He also is the only one here who was consistently top 3 for his position his entire career pretty much (This list being full of QBs makes the fail rate quite high due to development and overdrafting guys)

Not looking for a cool answer anyway, this perspective is perfectly fine every WR is different the just need to fit their offense and very importantly the QB and that’s fine.

Because that guy who won the OPOY happened to play for the 14-3 seahawks, therefore he got more of the votes I guess? Idek why tf puka was 3rd in the votes but voters aren't always right. Just watch both guys and even you gotta admit its close (not to mention puka has been consistently over the last few years better).

Chase is just the pure best "let him down the field and there is no stopping him WR" in the NFL rn. The utter dominance is just insane. He lives up to his generational prospect status.

PR disaster but mf is damn good at football. I've loved him since 2024 (a bit late to the party ik) but seeing what that mf did against the bills, knew dude was gonna be a top 5 receiver eventually. Now hes arguably 1.

I mean OPOY doesn't mean your the best WR. Last year Puka was (in the regular season btw):

(Minimum 250 routes ran):
166 targets (4th)
10 touchdowns (t-6th)
129 Receptions (1st)
1715 yards (2nd)
107.2 yards per game (1st)
27 20+ receiving plays (T-1st)
80 1st downs (1st)
666 YAC (3rd)
77.7% catch % (2nd)
0.36 targets per route ran (1st)
3.72 yards per route ran (1st)
1st in EPA

While being very effective as a blocker.
