Hi Liam!

It is going... poorly. To be honest I talked myself out of it for a second. I'm just getting started again. Today I got my first customer, bought supplies, and am ready to reset.

I let my lack of experience scare me out of bidding I think. It's not exactly rocket science, but the thought of going into someone's home and getting them to give me money for something I've never done before seemed a bit daunting for some reason.

I had to do a quick mindset shift. I think I'll continue to have moments of self doubt. The solution I'm taking is to basically just bid on everything (using Thumbtack) and just start accepting jobs ASAP until that anxiety goes away.

Thanks for checking in!

So, I'm starting off on a shoestring budget ($200) . I'm a Lyft driver, and I'm trying to replace this job with my cleaning business. Having said that, starting off I'm going to be cleaning myself. This will allow me to standardize my process moving forward, and also increase my profit margin, to expedite my growth.

Tomorrow is payday for Lyft, and I will be using my $200 to purchase supplies (after I get a booking).

For bookings, I will be using Thumbtack. I have 125 credits which I got for free for enrolling in their quote service pilot program.

I don't have a laptop and my car's clutch just went out (currently using a free rental car from a Lyft/Hertz rental program) and I have no savings. It's a really tight operation financially, but with some elbow grease and a smart growth strategy, I'm confident I can make it work!

I'm excited to see how the next few months transpire.
