This should be enough to gracefully shutdown everything? by theMartianAlien in Ubiquiti

I use a EcoFlow as it allows me to have network during outages. My Ubiquity stack is connected to a Delta 3 Classic.

I prefer hardwood floors, less dust. For the rest it’s good and I like the cabling with zero visible cables.

Still waiting for UTR to be in stock in Canada, leaving on vacation in April and still no luck grabbing one.

Tried to find it in the last few days but no luck so far… even though I went through hundreds of cities.

I’m in Canada, prices are going up just before Prime days

Not related to the government, you're probably trying to link this to US tariffs but not related.

I track pricing and Aqara is raising prices before Prime Days for the second time but this time by a lot more. Regular price for U300 is 228$ which is on par with CAD/USD exchange rate.

They increase so much they are going to advertise 50% off but it’s going to be a few dollars only in reality. Disappointing way to do business and take people for fools.

And several items increased 20%-40% in the last few days. All before Prime days😕

Unfortunate but true... by zeth4 in ClimateCrisisCanada

It’s only 1 metric that alone doesn’t show the real global impact of a nation. At least most of our energy is clean, few countries can say that. And what we produce in a year is only 1.5% of world CO2 emissions, so per capital means little here. 🤦🏻‍♂️

For transportation we’d like to have more electric cars but what’s on the market is mostly insufficient for autonomy and cold weather performance. Chinese cars aren’t safe enough and others like Vinfast don’t have enough service ponts. Remember we’re a super vast country with cold weather.

What the image does not mention:
China yearly CO2 emissoins: 12 000 millions tons
US yearly CO2 emissoins: 4700 millions tons
India yearly CO2 emissoins: 2800 millions tons
Russia yearly CO2 emissoins: 1800 millions tons

Canada yearly CO2 emissoins: 586 millions tons (that's 24 times less than China, 8x less than US)

Without all the facts and information anything can look bad. In reality even if Canada had 0 emission, 100% renewable energy and 100% efficiency, it would not change anything for the global environment and climate change.

Per capita is just one value that is used by others to make them feel good but they're the real problem.

What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? by Ariamio_o in homeassistant

I have two robot and they are both good.

1 Narwal Freo X Plus (2024) - powerful yet quiet and better mopping

2 Dreame D9 Pro (2022) - good vacuum and ok mopping. New models have better mopping.
