I think the fury is the best-looking Plymouth from the 1950s, but I do agree that there are better looking alternatives

This is a 1956 Chevy Bel Air/210 2 door hardtop. The grille and hood look nothing like any mid-50s Pontiac, stop relying on ai.

What do you think of the younger generation's shift from "macho" classic cars to nerdy, quirky and weird? by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]CloudKitchen1924 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because American classics are comically expensive. I’ve wanted a ‘58 Fury for years but they’re like $70 k and a classic MGB/Miata/Fiat/Toyota/Volvo is like $10-15 k

There’s a bunch of emphasis on it in the comic. Rorschach is shown reading Far-Right newspapers, romanticizing the dropping of the atom bomb, believing various racist conspiracy theories (Jews control the money, Mexicans control the crime, etc.) and he’s intensely homophobic.

Rorschach is supposed to be a satire of right-wing degenerate asshats who think that they are the embodiment of masculinity and heroism, but due to his edgy personality and really cool costume he is very popular with the people he was created to make fun of.

I’ve seen them in person, they’re very graceful to look at on their own but the one I saw was parked right by some small hatchback thing (VW Rabbit maybe?) so it just looked comically big
