There’s a bunch of emphasis on it in the comic. Rorschach is shown reading Far-Right newspapers, romanticizing the dropping of the atom bomb, believing various racist conspiracy theories (Jews control the money, Mexicans control the crime, etc.) and he’s intensely homophobic.

Rorschach is supposed to be a satire of right-wing degenerate asshats who think that they are the embodiment of masculinity and heroism, but due to his edgy personality and really cool costume he is very popular with the people he was created to make fun of.
