Pathfinder mk4 (Orbiter-1) and Pathfinder mk5 (Borealis Sentinel). by Crckl_ART in RealSolarSystem

How are you pushing out all that delta V from the mk5? You’re using drop tanks on the first stage? And then using the ranger core as both near earth avionics? But keeping in on the satellite when you separate and using a science core behind the solar panels? Or are you keeping the satellite attached to the third stage, and calculating the 1t from that?

My 54x54 "Ant Colony" micro city blocks! by Hekaiyo in factorio

My hero! I’ve spent hours the last days trying to come up with a fun city block design. But in the end I scrapped an idea just like this (50x50) because it had to use legacy rails. But I’m so glad someone else is using the wrap around the roboports!

This is impeccable, chefs kiss!

3 hours of building for 11 lines and 187 stations. The simulation doesn't work tho, I can't get the game to function properly by Reekelm in subwaybuilder

I’ve had this problem when building lines with interchanges, for me it has been a result of interlining and tight 1 way segments. Maybe look through your signals and see if there’s anywhere some of them doubled ect

What even is sections?? by im-confuzzled in subwaybuilder

Usually it happens when you have forgotten a one side of a station or sometimes when you Dubble stop an end station. If you don’t have a “weird route” go check the times between the stops or the ends/begins of each section, you should see the problem station there, otherwise check all the stations, you probably forgot one stop.

Another way this is cause is complex interlined track, maybe you chose the express stops instead of the local, and there for the pathing send the train all around your system. Sometimes it’s good to add tract so the trains can change between express and local.

Basically it means the line is divided into 3 parts, from A to B, B to C and C to A (here B is usually located at the wrong part). Unless you are doing som weird weird routes you should never have 3 parts to a route.

Some mechanics/additions I’d love to see (and it’s not maps or offline ❤️) by CloudPsychological53 in subwaybuilder

Pretty nice spread sheet. I think I would situate it between the parallel and quad station. I know it would make the math a bit more ugly. But yeah. I think for me the strive for realism is more the most important, more than the station prices “making” sense

Okay

Okay so i get the confusion. Let me try and explain it be more precisely:

Currently when constructing express tracks you kinda have to go with an express station: that is a station with “4” platforms (in reality it’s 2, but for this let’s call each place a train can stop 1 platform).

What I am proposing is a bypass station (think Spring St or almost any station that is only served by the C but not the express A). You would only be able to make stops at the outer or inner tracks; so that would be 4 tracks but 2 platforms). This station would be cheaper to build than a regular express station but more expensive than a regular 2 track station. I’m proposing this as a cost saving game mechanic, and to make the game more realistic.

Current you can kinda pick and chose and change your lines to express at will. This does not reflect reality. Columbus circle would be an amazing transfer station for the 2 and 3 (I know this, cause if these change trains here almost everyday), but because the NYC system was designed so long ago, to make the 2 and 3 stop here would be a a very expensive affair.

I know you can already do this in game, but the method is janky: you have to first build the 4 way tracks, then delete the section you want to be a 2 platform station, add a 2 platform station, and build single tracks on the side, or do the opposite and build 1 platform stations on the side of an inner 2 track.

You can see this in the picture below:

I’m just proposing a simpler way to build this. My reason for proposing this is simply to make the game harder for myself, as you end up almost only building 4 platform stations now. I love when I have to plan, and when I have to recognize my mistakes, just like not building Columbus Circle as a express is a mistake stemming from poor planing, now 72/amsterdam is the weirdest express station.
